Re: Random randomness
I will say one thing for fahrenheit... Numerically speaking, spring warm ups are more satisfying. Creeping into the 10s isn't as nice as getting into the 50s.
edit: yeah, I'll just let that fly as the top of the page random

It's said that kelvin measures how molecules feel, Celsius is how water feels, and Fahrenheit is how people feel.

I like that.
I'd go so far as to say Kelvin measures how atoms feel.
While even atoms puts too fine of a point on it, molecules just sounds a bit too much for my ear.

I am attending a robotics competition for the first time today (my son joined his high school's team), and it is wild how good these robots are. Zooming around, precisely maneuvering, winching themselves up off the ground, it's all pretty amazing.

We do like our randomly inspired measurement systems.

I'm thinking about heading out there this summer to visit some friends and I'd love to know if there are any interesting festivals or other time specific reasons to pick one time over another.

I always try to remember that 20 degrees Celsius is 68 degrees Fahrenheit, which is basically an ideal temperature: just as 20/20 vision is perfect vision, 20 Celsius is perfect weather.
I do prefer Fahrenheit's granularity, but I'm sure that's just because it's what I'm used to.

Re: Random randomness
If you value granularity in your integer-contrained units of measurement, you need to pick up a few million Venezuelan Bolivars. It's probably the most granular currency since the 1923 German mark.

Re: Random randomness
Thanks for the tips.
The couple we are planning to visit is a marriage between a Canadian and a lady from Taiwan. Its 50/50 whether we will go out for Chinese food or stay in and have Chinese food!
