Does he think the Ukraine is fighting an army that's backed by Cheese Fries - and he just wants the cheese fries to come out victorious?
Isn't poitine just Canadian disco fries?

Aren't Disco Fries just American Poutine? ;)

This one is complicated. This isn't to say they haven't been trying. Pierre Polievre is the Conservative candidate and he's been running Republican style attack ads. First it was against Trudeau, now it's against Carney. All hot air. The sentiment I've seen from various sources is that the majority don't want a Polievre win, but we have a very real worry of election interference and manipulation in trying to get him to win, and this includes Musk using his Canadian citizenship to try and meddle with things. In fact, and this may have been mentioned already, but there's a petition going around for revoking his citizenship, with the reasoning being that he's considered a threat to our democracy.
