i'm with RookieCAF...i don't think it's actually possible for anyone to give away HL:S. considering that it's tied to a Steam account and only downloadable as part of a bigger HL2 package, i don't think it's possible to get only HL:S by itself from another person.

That stinks. I figured if someone bought the CE from a store, it came with a hard copy of HL Source. Oh well, maybe I can get it from Steam by itself.
