Students who think that they are speaking quietly enough to excape detection. As long as they are not cheating and keep working I don't bother to stop the whispered gossip.
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” - H.L. Mencken

After the "Decommercialization of Christmas" discussion, I felt like getting into the Christmas "mood". Last night the wife and I watched "A Christmas Story", and tonight we plan to watch "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".

Right now I'm listening to:

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve and Other Stories (the album)
Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory.
Fight Eagles fight, score a touchdown 1-2-3.

Hit 'em low,
Hit 'em high,
And we'll watch our Eagles fly.

Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory.

E-A-G-L-E-S...........EAGLES!

"I Am The Highway" by Audioslave (listening to the whole album actually). This will be followed by "Sickness" by Disturbed.
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

Currently, the couple of songs that Nickel Creek has available on their myspace page, thanks to a recommendation from Rumpy. After that, a 1/2 hour interview I just conducted about conveyor belts.
Here's to a long life and a merry one; A quick death and an easy one; A pretty girl and a true one; A cold beer, and another one.

Will write for food or music.

Songs: Ohia's Protection Spells. To be followed by the self-titled release and then The Lioness. Then I start re-ripping some ska/reggae-type band. Still re-ripping my music (and I probably will be for a few more months) but the pile is slowly getting smaller. I now have on my HD, including podcasts, 5393 items that can be played over 14.3 days and take up 27.63 gigs.

I just drove to the library and listened to a melange of Nick Cave's ABBATOIR BLUES, Catherine Wheel's CHROME, and Depeche Mode's PLAYING THE ANGEL.

At some point in the near future: Patrick Wolf's WIND IN THE WIRES.
