Lock On: Modern Air Combat is getting some time right now. I bought Falcon 4.0 from JSHAW awhile back, but haven't had time to even install it, nevermind actually LEARN it.Grundbegriff wrote:An acquaintance works on the Raptor, so I was wondering about that one in particular.
Nevertheless, which other jet sims do you like, geezer?
I don't recall if Janes USAF had an F22, but that was a pretty nice "Survey" type sim. Then again, that's even older than TAW IIRC.
I probably shouldn't have been quite so dismissive of TAW actually -- it IS older, but it probably held up quite well.

Dude, how many good "new" sims are out there? Right now the "old" sims are all we god. Why do you think there are so many good maps/mods/TCs for older sims like Falcon 4.0, EAW, and Red Baron 3D. Yeah, TAW is older in computer gaming terms, but it holds up VERY well indeed.geezer wrote:I probably shouldn't have been quite so dismissive of TAW actually -- it IS older, but it probably held up quite well.

Its fun for a bit, but the landgrab models basically the same since SVGA Air Warrior which I played back in 91 until its demise.
