"The need for speed SE" in win XP?

I put this post here since it is mainly a XP issue and not in the gaming forum.

I wonder if the old (1996) EA game "The need for speed" the first one in the series can be played in win xp?

The Special Edition had win 95 support besides DOS which the original was based on.

I was hoping there might be some kind of way to get it to play.

http://www.ntcompatible.com is your friend for these sorts of questions. They don't seem to say much of anything about Need for Speed, but it's a good site to bookmark.

You could try using DosBox
