As I've stated before, i have broadband, had no troubles with it, but loathe it anyway because of the ten-years-in-the-future installation thing. Also, imagine the mess if EVERY game used such a scheme.

I neither "hate" Steam nor have had "no problems" with it. Generally it's run fine for me but occasionally I just want to boot up HL2 for a bit and it says "Preparing to play Half Life 2" and then hangs fire for a while.
Preparing to play? Preparing to play? Fuck you, preparing to play! I don't have to "prepare" to play Half Life 1, mofos...

Your poll doesn't really have any middle ground. I neither hate nor love steam, but I'll choose hate since I've had some serious issues with it. Again it's perfect if you're on broadband, but there are some real problems with it that could easily be addressed for dialup users. A simple patch could make it fine for us dialup users, but apparently that isn't in the works.

Your posts is why. I'm tired of talking about how much of a pain in the ass steam was only to have my statements distorted and belittled.naednek wrote:that's called over reaction, and complaining just to complainnoun wrote:Aw, c'mon.
