Not sure if it was intentional (how could it not have been intentional?), but check out the new Pride theme for NYPD cruisers this month:

Note (it's kind of small) that "All Colors Are Beautiful", aka ACAB.
Has to be an intentional attempt to co-opt to neutralize the other ACAB.

i.e. when it's all pretense for the BS photo-op, it's important to at least invest a little bit of effort to get things correct. But she couldn't even bother with that.

A friend shared a picture of a bunch of American flag themed 4th of July decorations and accoutrements in a store. I have questions about these tote bags...
I mean, white stars on blue bars on a red background does remind me of an American flag, but not the one I'd expect. Maybe it's just me, though.

Well, to be fair, kids these days are all into the manga and the anime and the gunpla, so the Imperial Japanese half of the design is just good marketing.

There was a lot of time spent in the weeds during Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing with special counsel John Durham. Lawmakers burned hours trying to spin, parse and unpack the dense, 300-page report he issued last month into the origins of the FBI’s 2016 investigation of former President Donald Trump. Names that nobody who hasn’t been glued to the coverage of the Russia probe and its aftermath would recognize got thrown around to a degree that at several points even I was left wondering, “Who?”
It wasn’t the most riveting of hearings, but here’s the bottom line: John Durham found nothing to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. At no point in his testimony did he take the bait from Republicans to give credence to Trump’s “Russia hoax” rhetoric. If anything, Durham went out of the way to praise his predecessor — even if his grasp on what Mueller found proved to be a bit shaky.
Can anyone explain this? The host is trying to claim she was being sarcastic, but I just don't get what point she was trying to make or how sarcasm was part of it-
When she says the election definitely was not rigged she actually means that the election was definitely rigged, but she can't say that because The Powers That Be have "mandated" that the truth is that the election was not rigged. She can't say that's what she means, because you're not allowed to say it because it's not true (but that truth has been mandated/manufactured by TPTB, so nudge-nudge wink-wink). She keeps saying that it's true that the election wasn't rigged while also implying that this "truth" was manufactured. That's why she keeps recycling specific talking points that probably resonate with election truthers (or whatever they're called), like that specific number of voters in that specific number of counties. I'm not curious enough to dive down that particular rabbit hole to confirm that, however.
But even if you understand what she is saying, you can't criticize her for it because she's just joking (With satire! And sarcasm!), as a comedian does.
tl;dr She's a nutbar. Get it? A nut Barr! ...I'll see myself out...
Postscript: Oh, it looks like she's in the news for saying something about the Holocaust in an interview. So maybe defending her as just joking, as comedians do, is also serving to deflect criticism about things that aren't shown in this specific clip.

Yeah, it's the Holocaust part that is getting the attention and the stuff preceding it is supposed to be context showing she is joking.
Ah, OK, I just went back and watched the rest of the clip. I had enough after the umpteenth time she said The Truth and didn't watch the whole thing the first time. As it turns out, I stopped just before the Holocaust bit -- my bad.
With the election stuff, I'm pretty sure I follow what she was saying. The stuff about the Holocaust and Jews and Hollywood? I have no idea what her point was supposed to be, assuming it wasn't just unhinged rambling.

After checking out one of the news stories, I now realize that the reason I don't understand the sarcasm being employed by Roseanne Barr in her rant is simply that I am a stupid moron. That seems perfectly plausible to me, and I extend my thanks to her son for explaining it to me.
