Grundbegriff was a strange fellow. If Chaosraven hadn’t said he was human he probably would have been lynched by now. For the past few days he just sat off to himself and would occasionally yell out, “Reading!” or “Analyzing!”
But on day 3 he woke up and wouldn’t shut up, but by the end of his analysis he had the whole room on his side. Scoop was chosen for execution.
When the vote reached 5 Scoop sighed heavily, “I’m not a Cylon, but I saw this coming.” About that time Mipe and Bakhtosh stand up. “Hey we wanted to vote for him also!”
Grund looks at them, “What’s the point now?”
Mipe walks over and punches Scoop in the stomach. “There’s my vote.” Bakhtosh smiles and walks over and drives the toe of his boot in to Scoop’s crotch lifting him off the floor.
Scoop screams, “Frak!” and after catching his breath and tears in his eyes, “Isn’t it enough…” another breath, “that you’re going to kill me?”
Unable to stand he is drug off to another room and executed.
“Everyone go to your room and meet back here in 2 hours.”

Everyone arrived a little early. They just knew there was going to be good news and hopefully end the Cylon threat aboard the ship.
Purge walks up to the computer terminal and reads the report.
“Well, it would appear that Scoop was human.”
Bakhtosh winces and squeezes his legs together, remembering the goodbye he gave Scoop. “Oh frak.”
Unagi starts weeping, “He wanted me to teach him to play Triad. I…I wouldn’t have anything to do with him. I thought he was a Cylon and I guess everyone else thought so too. He must have been so lonely.” Unagi leaves the room.
Everyone heads to their rooms to think about the days events. They come and go during the day, mingling and grabbing some food, they just didn’t know what to do now. Eventually night comes around and everyone heads to bed.
Athena -who will you scan?
Six -Who will you scan?
Baltar - Who will you scan?
Cavil -who will you scan?
Apollo - who will you scan?
Starbuck -who will you protect?
Cylons - who will you kill?

Am I remembering/interpreting correctly that when Athena goes under deep cover to self-protect, she cannot scan?
What is the argument at this point for hiding Baltar and Starbuck and Tory?
Scoop wasn't Cylon. So, I'm batting zero for two in suspects. I don't think I should lead any lynchings.
I appear to have made it onto a number of folks 'hmmmmm' lists. Just remember - anyone who comes after me has to
face my plastic gun - and I'm not afraid to use it.
The list is down to Redrun (me), RevHempus, Unagi, Purge.
Let's see what the Cylon(s) do tonight.

Stess and Scoop both died claiming Citizen. We're down to 2 more...3 if you count Baltar. If Tory and Apollo don't reveal tomorrow, we'll have to assume they're dead, which means we have to go through the unknowns as efficiently as possible. Sucks if you're an unknown, but we have to find Seven.

One night she may go into hiding while scanning thus protecting herself but not on the night after her identity has been revealed to the team (when she’s outed). Cannot announce to everyone when you will be hiding or the Cylons will hunt you down (if targeted by them).

Everyone shows up promptly for roll call to see what Chaosraven found out last night. “Chaosraven is late.” Bakhtosh says as he looks around. “Oh frak!” He takes off running toward Chaosraven’s room. The others followed him. As they open the door they see Chaosraven lying on the floor with a metal bar protruding from his skull. He has been killed.

into hiding this turn. Either he hoped to fool the Cylons for tonight to get another night,
or was just a bit loud about standing out in the hallway.
Three known humans:
Grundbegriff
Mipe
Bakhtosh
Other folks:
Redrun
RevHempus
Unagi
Purge
#7. A fair chance of an active #10, depending on prior scans by the cylons.
Seven only had three possible folks to scan, and some of these might have been
previously scanned.
Assuming that Scoop and Stessier told the truth and were both citizens, we
know whom everyone else killed is/was, save for semaj & Mr. Bubbles.
We've heard from all the named players save for Baltar (can't/shouldn't self out),
Troy, and Apollo. I think two of these are dead, killed on the first two days - my
feeling is that Troy and Apollo are gone.
So, I think we're left with one citizen. Baltar (or Troy or Apollo). A specialist. #7.
Two of the four of us are human. One might still think he's human. One isn't human.
Frankly, I want to kill the quiet one. But I've voted to kill two fellow citizens so far, so
I'm open to discussion. The rest of the board as I see it:
mipe: citizen
grund: specialist
Bakhtosh: starbuck
redrun: citizen
revhempus: #7
purge: specialist
unagi: Baltar
Meaning that purge or I are #10. Y'all better not kill the wrong person and let me get
converted tonight. I don't want to be taken out by my own logic.
Sufficient I am to the day.

Re: (03) BSG IV -Night 4- Scoop20906's number is up
OK, Chaos dying sucks.
Trying to determine who to scan as #10 perhaps?
My theory is such:
Semaj: Baltar (perhaps Tory)
Semaj was Austin's random choice to kill on Sunday night, perhaps Baltar (he did say something about nightmares)
Sean: Cavil
If I were #7 - you can bet your ass I would have been a ton more careful with placing the last vote on him....
....however I do notice you got in on that vote too, around N-2 or something.
Revhempus chimed in for about the first time after the Sean vote was complete... That doesn't look good for Rev really.
Mr.Bubbles: Apollo
Mr.Bubbles was likely scanned by Austin on Sunday Night, and it was known that he was not Baltar.
Austin: Six.
Kraegor: Helo
Chaos: Athena
Starbuck: Bakhtosh
Specialist: Remus, Grundbegriff, Purge* <--- still need confirmation, but seems obvious (could be Tory or Baltar I suppose)
Civilians: stessier, scoop, Unagi, (Revhempus / Redrun) <--- #7 in here.
Redrun, I must be honest. You labelling me "Baltar" seemed a little odd, since I have been making arguments for Baltar to step forward and agruing that it's perfectly 'kosher' for him to do it, etc. It struck me that #7 would be desprately seeking #10 right now, and that Baltar is the one "human" not worth scanning... In other words, tonight #7 is likely wondering who to scan between Revhempus,Purge, and Me. Hopefully #10 was one of our dead.
Something else that sorta annoyed me, redrun, during my re-read - was your repeated statement of being patient for Helo to show up if he was alive. #7, at this point knew that he likely about to be the sole-cylon... And that night's kill was a double kill with our 2 'trusted' (I really hope one of them was #10). In any case, #7 would have very much wanted Helo to show up and be the one that killed Austin - as that would have given him two perfect targets for the night (the proven specialist and the proven Helo - the really the only 2 truly provable players.)
I'm looking at just Rev and Redrun for #7.
Rev would be playing the sleeper/silent wolf (something I think is sorta lame).
Redrun, if you are #7, you have played a very nice and slick game.
I think I have played a very involved game and have constantly asked to be scanned and I've also likely wasted a 'Baltar' scan back in the first 2 nights.
I, very early, said that Austin's reply to my first comment on Scoops Code was the most 'Cylon' like reply.
I put the death blow on Sean, and I also got away with (no 'edit' stamp) my removal of that vote. Yes, Stessier caught it - but I think the re-read shows that I was fine with putting it back on (just a little embarassed we didn't wait for Sean to chime in). In any case, I (as I would have, as #7) certainly wasn't watching the count on the Sean vote closely at all.
I'd like to think Rev would "play more" as a cylon, but I think he's actually played quiet-wolf before (correct me, people, if I am wrong).
Redrun, aside from some major things 'pointing to your innocence' (your vote on Sean, for instance) , these are all things you may have easily done to earn your keep in the end game.
I'm slightly leaning redrun right now. slightly - as the Rev's game is basically empty.
Are you looking for a confirmation?redrun wrote:unagi: Baltar

I'd like to think Rev would "play more" as a cylon, but I think he's actually played quiet-wolf before (correct me, people, if I am wrong).
Redrun, aside from some major things 'pointing to your innocence' (your vote on Sean, for instance) , these are all things you may have easily done to earn your keep in the end game.
I'm slightly leaning redrun right now. slightly - as the Rev's game is basically empty.

Hmm, it would seem that in the (Rev,redrun, Unagi) trio there should be Baltar and/or Tory ??
And I can assure you all that I am neither.

Re: (03) BSG IV -Night 4- Scoop20906's number is up
Bullshit.
Right now 10 can't have been found, and Baltar is unconverted.
For 10 to have been found there is a kill attempt on him/her. There would then be a night with no kill. We would also have received a traitor in our midst message otherwise.
Since we know he wasn't found beforehand as we had at least one kill a night, he's still missing. Since the remaining cylon chose to kill our Athena rather than hunting out 10, we know that the next scan outlined was likely them. (Unagi, by my reckoning).
That doesn't place blame at his feet, but right now he's working hard to get Rev and redrun under the gun. I think that Rev and redrun should come forward now if they are a special.
While I support Grund's enthusiasm and we had to test someone, it was Scoop who paid the price and IIRC it was Unagi who was pointing at him.
At this time my vote goes against Unagi

Also, I don't think it is YET time for specials to come out ... perhaps later today, but not yet. the specials that come out (Baltar especially) help eliminate the choices. Unagi thought of it; it may well be he's superimposing his own strategy onto another.
I will not drink this cool-aid, and I have no interest in our specials revealing themselves as there is no gain for us.

Let's not rush into a vote. Everything hangs in the balance.
Analyzing....
Purge is the other Specialist. He might be #10. The fact that he doesn't want Specials out troubles me. I think it's definitely time for all Specials to step forward; what's the case for not doing so?
(a) Chaosraven must've been bluffing about self-protection; he rolled the dice that his bluff would work and went for a scan instead.
AND
(b) #7 (perhaps in cahoots with #10) decided that the risk of Chaosraven's scan was so high that it was worth attacking him just in case he was bluffing, even though the cost of being wrong about the bluff would be a deathless night.
Why would the Cylon be so worried about Chaosraven's scan that taking a shot at a supposedly-self-protecting Athena seemed worthwhile?
Whom was Chaosraven expected to scan, if he chose to scan?....
It's you and I against the world, mipe.

I think I should shut up for the rest of the game (or atleast until fever is gone)
First, I accidentally say that Grund is Athena... That was a small problem. Now, on this Final Fantasy 1 RPG (played on this one forum...), I accidentally entered the commands wrong and was one inch close for killing my teammate... Luckily the Dungeon Master delayed the update and noticed me that I just was going to kill my teammate...
And yes grund, It's you and me versus the world...

My mistake. Just re-read the roles. The discovery of 7 is based on kill attempts. Scan's for 10 are separate actions. Dammit.

Majority is FOUR
Let's not be rash today. It's possible there are two cylons. That means they only need 2 of us to vote for an innocent.

Re: (03) BSG IV -Night 4- Scoop20906's number is up
At this point we could stick with your order or go the other way, Grund. I don't know if I'm 10 or not, and we have no indication if 10 has been converted. You can trust me if you choose, I was asking that the rest of the specials remain hidden under the auspice that the scan for 10 was part of the "kill" ... but that is a 6/cavil search for 7.
Lassr, can we get a reminder: if an attempt on 10's life is made by Cylons, will they activate rather than kill him?
Given that Athena was killed, the next scan was Unagi by Grund's list which is why my vote goes to him. If she had successfully scanned Unagi as Cylon, we'd be looking at an ended game.

Of COURSE I am "working hard" that redrun and Rev are the two Cylon options. Aside from #10, from my seat those two people are the ONLY chioces for #7.

-- Fair question, but no - my thinking is that you've been calling to be scanned since the start of the game.Unagi wrote:Are you looking for a confirmation?redrun wrote:unagi: Baltar
Trying to determine who to scan as #10 perhaps?
There is only one human who knows for sure that they'll scan as human - Baltar. It's a guess, and no I
didn't reread your posts to determine if you were for/against Baltar coming out.
-- Impossible for #10 to have been one of our dead. We've only got two cylons dead, and by logic know they must be #6 & Brother Cavil.Unagi wrote: My theory is such:
-- Huh? Athena had already given us Grund as a known human. The Cylons had two known targets prior to Helo coming out. Killing #6 via Helo gave us the chance,Unagi wrote: Something else that sorta annoyed me, redrun, during my re-read - was your repeated statement of being patient for Helo to show up if he was alive. #7, at this point knew that he likely about to be the sole-cylon... And that night's kill was a double kill with our 2 'trusted' (I really hope one of them was #10). In any case, #7 would have very much wanted Helo to show up and be the one that killed Austin - as that would have given him two perfect targets for the night (the proven specialist and the proven Helo - the really the only 2 truly provable players.)
to some extent, to test Athena's revel. Austin had already said he wasn't Athena. If he came up Cylon he was bad, if he came up human then we lynched Chaos that night.
Also, there were a large number of us saying the same thing about waiting for Helo to show up - it was a full page of discussion - and you were part of it and
listing of the folks we were waiting for before moving forward. Is this a failure of logic on your part, or hand-waving to assign blame to me?
-- One more thing that I realized in my re-reading. Why did the Cylons try for Athena? She was almost sure to be safe. But, she was about to scan Unagi.
If she reveled Unagi as Cylon, it had a good chance to give the game to the humans - worth taking the longshot that Athena would be killable.
-- I'm going to have to do some extensive reading of the remaining players actions. I'd been thinking that Rev is #7 and wondering if Purge was an activated #10,
but I've got questions about such. I've got a couple of meetings this afternoon, so may not post until evening - I'll try to be quicker.
Sufficient I am to the day.
