Trump wrote: "These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," the transition said in a terse, unsigned statement.

"The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It's now time to move on and 'Make America Great Again.'"

I can't even begin to believe that he's saying this shit. Reality re-created in 140 characters or less.

When you've lost former Congressman Joe Walsh...holy shit. He's currently losing his shit on twitter over Republicans being suddenly ok with Russia interfering in our elections. Cowards.

He's lost Palin, too.

He hasn't even taken office yet and people are discovering how badly they got suckered. It won't be long before the only Trump holdouts are Giuliani and Rip.

Journalists like Eichenwald are now reminding us that European intelligence agencies aren't going to sit back and ignore the next administration's Putin connections. Trump and McConnell can try to muzzle or purge the CIA, but they can't touch our allies' investigations, and any attempt to do so will just underscore the urgency.

Hopefully they'll still be our allies when all this is over.

And hopefully their governments aren't swapped by pod people as well.

Given our own history of fucking with other sovereign nations' elections, I find these politicians getting their panties in a bunch over Soviet interference hilarious.

For fucks sake, even in the alternate universe you are in where you are a smart person, you STILL NEED DAILY INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS because the intelligence changes daily.

Every time this dummy feels the need to tell us that he's smart, it reminds me of the fact that in my entire 42 years, I've never once encountered a smart person that had to tell me they were smart.

Smart people never have to say it.

Seriously - but also screw Joe Walsh. He was happily carrying water for Trump until he crossed the line by denying Russian hacking? That was the line? Joe Walsh can complain all he wants but he should have known better well before now.

If he's going to pick and choose what he believes anyway, what's the point of briefings? Maybe HE should be briefing THEM.

Have there been any interviews with Pence since the pronouncement that the Russian hacks were intended to help Trump? As much as I dislike him, he at least has seemed to give credence to these assessments in the past. And, by all reports, he's the one actually getting the daily briefings.

Re: The Trump Presidency Thread

Senators *have* been attending their briefings, and they're treating the issue of Russian interference like the crisis that it is. McCain and Graham are calling for deep investigation, and they certainly have no interest in making Hillary Clinton look good. At this point everyone who's been given access to the information is taking it very seriously except for Trump and his campaign loyalists.

Meanwhile, Trump is entering office with record-low approval ratings for a president-elect. Presidents have always started high and gone down, but Trump is lower than every modern president's complete first-term average, and he's lower than all second terms except Truman, Nixon, and GWB.

Is it possible for a president to be ruined before he's inaugurated?

Even if he's ruined, he still has executive power.

I know this is a slim thread here, but he isn't president yet. There's a slight possibility (OK, very slight) that if he keeps pulling shit up until the Electoral College votes, the members may just say "Uhhh......no.".

Thank god it is only a little over a week till we can put that crap to bed with the recount.

Here's John Bolton running full-steam on post-truth lunacy, suggesting that the DNC hacking was a false-flag operation by the Obama administration.
 How do you even...? There are no words.

In a sane America, that would be enough to disqualify Bolton from being taken seriously anywhere at any time by anyone.

The only way I see that scenario happening is if there is solid evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. And even if they did, and it can be proven, it ain't gonna happen in the next week.

One of my facebook friends has been grasping at straws like this ever since the election. It's my opinion that overturning an election is worse for the republic than accepting and trying to contain a bad result. My opinion will change if the election was won by treason.

Duh, you are assuming what you to prove - there's no evidence her server was hacked.
