If I am not mistaken, I chose one of the outnumbered Underdogs (tm), so I will go after the larger of the two.

First shot to the kidneys to soften him up and get him to turn around, the second to the jaw as he spins around to put him down.

First damage: 2+2 (Str)= 4
Second damage: 5+2 (Str)= 7
Total damage to baddie: 11 subdual damage (going for K.O.)

Sorry guys... put in around 35 extra hours at work last week... and am just this past hour coming home from a 16 hr shift.

Back to the games shortly.

Boy I could barely do that kind of crap when I was 20 (Worked in a foundry for 10 hour shifts, clean up and go tend bar for 6 hours) but I could never imagine doing it now, I would tell my employer to sit and spin. Anywho glad to have you back

After docD does his thing I'm running the rest of the way to the fight, preferably arriving behind BG6 opposite UD1. Running takes my full turn, I'll stand there flat footed until it gets back around to me.

Actually I believe he cast a spell and you moved during the "accepted action" sneaky setup...

Which brings him to regular turn, and you as well.

Wanted to get my action queued up for next round if that is ok. Not sure if I am going to be able to check the action tomorrow.

Turn to the the remaining BadGuyFour that took a swing at me and going to deliver two (hopefully) swift shots to him as well. I am sure I am not flanking this guy, so no flank bonus.

Rolls:
14 +2 (+1 Base, +3 Dex, -2 Flurry)= 16
12 +2 (See above)= 14

Damage (if necessary):
3+2 (Str +2)= 5
6+2 (Str +2)= 8
Total = 13 points

Flanking assumed until odds are even.

The Paladins, though with different intentions, fell a pair of foes (Once perhaps known as Sam and Max, hereafter referred to as BG2 and BG6) and only one yet breathes. The remaining men of Torpin look nervous

As soon as I see the Underdogs back away to join us, I yell STOP!

*Strikes an intimidating martial arts pose*

There is no point to continue this battle. The odds are now reversed, and continued bloodshed is pointless. Answer our questions and you shall leave here. Why have you attacked these people? Speak now before our wilderness companion loses his tenuous control on his feathered friend.

I combined a couple of things. My Base attack is +1 and an 18 strength gives me a +4. I'll try to remember to keep them seperate next time.

Mine should be +5 as well, I forgot to add Weapon Focus. Need to figure out where that goes on the character sheet.

CR: Is Hyena's action going to see an immediate response or do the rest of us act before it gets back around to him to waste his turn. ;) errr to try and settle this without further bloodshed, or bruising in the case of my more "sensitive" companions.

Good point on the turn thing, however. I will delay my actions until after first initiative goes.

I thought Paladins had to be Lawful Good... :P

And you are again correct about the turn thing. I thought that when the Underdogs backed away from the Bad Guys to join us everyone's turn had gone.

I'm just going to stop posting until someone specifically asks me to. It will save a lot of confusion and embarrassment on my part...

Well, ok, probably not, but it sounded good anyway.

They're evil, I checked. Smiting evil is always right. 8-)

...oh and as far as all the corrections go, there's a reason I'm the designated rule police when family is playing games... I'm like that.... don't feel bad, except possibly for my wife.

Edit #2:

Just a bit of my character's perspective on the situation. If you look at my characters physical description, which is sparse I admit, you'll see he's not exactly the stereotypical hero type. In fact, I as the player am in better shape than he appears to be. He's short, chubby, clumsy and relatively non-descript otherwise. He was bullied endlessly as a child until some graying hedge knight/Paladin took him in as a squire. He tends to be a bit bloodthirsty for a Paladin and is particularly vengeful when faced with scenes like we have today where a larger (evil) force is attacking a smaller force.

Hopefully I can stay faithful to the character. :) I've never really been into the "Lawful" side of things as a player.

My problem is I am very competitive (not that you can "win" in D&D), and I need to be kept in check sometimes.

And as for rules, yeah, I am a stickler as well. I will never forget one time when I was playing with a new group of guys in college and we broke into this little rotted cabin in the woods. There was an ogre in the room and he proceeded to thrash all of us.

Me: Man, I'm dead. He got me with that third attack.

DM: Ok everyone, you see your comrade smashed against the wall and fall in a heap. The ogre turns to the fighter and swings his club again.

Me: Wait a minute, Justin. Isn't that his fourth attack this round?

DM: Yeah.

Me: I didn't think they got that many attacks. How many attacks does the Monster Manual say he gets?

DM: *looks* Uh, it says here only one.

Me: *Blank stare*

DM: Well, he is understandably upset. I mean, you broke into his home! He is in a rage! I gave him a few more attacks because he was so pissed.

From then on out, anything that didn't sound quite right was countered with, "Is that another Justinism?"

Sorry, didn't realize it was my turn again

As the Torpins have not yielded to us. Move to the next one and attack him. As they were given a chance to yield and did not do so. I am striking normally.

So be it, let none say you were given a chance to surrender.

I have two sets of manacles, Detect Evil on the KO'd bad guys and use the manacles on any evil ones if there are any, otherwise shackle two random KO'd bad guys.

My charisma is not very good, but I will try.

I am glad we could help out, friend Markus. What caused Torpin's lackeys to attack you?

Sense motive looking for a lie:

20(!)+9 (+4 Wis, +5 skill)= 29

After talking to them, and after Kupa has finished handcuffing the bad guys, I begin talking with the bad guys.

Your life has been spared for the moment. As far as I am concerned, you have been tried and found guilty of attacking innocents. Some of your comrades have already paid their price. To avoid that same fate yourself, you will tell me why. If you refuse, I will exact the deserved punishment. If you throw yourself on the mercy of my court I may release you.

Sense Motive: 11+9= 20
Diplomacy: 14+3 (Cha+1, +2 synergy from Sense Motive)= 17

I want to look seriously at docD (I forgot your character's name, doc...sorry  )
Friend Doc, please get the Torpin's side of the story while I speak with these innocents that were attacked.

I VERY subtly shake my head to indicate they are not so innocent.

I take the Underdogs out of hearing range of the Torpins and begin to question them with a very leading and sympathetic tone, all the while scrutinizing anything they say with the knowledge that they are lying like a...well, something that lies a lot.

Tell me what happened, Markus? What were you doing out here when Torpin's thugs ambushed you?

Sense motive Roll: 17+9=26 +(bonus from knowing they are already lying?)

Also, I am not quite sure with the number generator I am using, but it seems to consistantly roll high. I don't have access to the D&D dice roller at work, but I found this site. I put the integers at 1-20, and I do the whole "mad mouse click" with my eyes closed then open my eyes and take the number listed. http://www.random.org/integers/
