Weekend is kind of tied up for me also. My daughter b'day party. She starts her teens...oh joy.
Luckily, weekends do not count in the days to lynch countdown.
I've given up trying to theorize why someone dies on night 1. There are too many variables. It's good to list out the possiblities but selecting the correct one...good luck with that.

For those wondering... James tends to work 12 hour shifts 2 or 3 days a week, meaning when he works he goes away for stretches.
If you think you have a tell on me, you probably don't.
If you think you can tell when I am good or evil, pretty much you guys have been wrong every time so clearly you don't there either.
If I am a special I don't plan on outing myself until the very last possible instant.
If I am a regular joe public, I dont plan on outing myself until the very last possible instant.
Since I am not a bad guy, i'm giving them any fucking reads one way or another on what or whom I am.
Why did I say I am screwed either way? Whoever said because it's a damned if I do or damned if I dont situation is half right. As I mentioned on a certain boards last game, how well I played is going to color your opinions of me this game. Either you are a wolf and know I'm innocent but want to try and figure out when to get everyone to kill me (Which is what I would do if I were a wolf... You let people do your work for you with as little interference as possible) or your a good guy and you wonder if it's just me firing off yet another playstyle to try and throw you all off. Any action I take will be analyzed and compared to every other time I have played.
So I'll throw this one out there and save time.
The seer can scan me whenever the hell they want. Please do, because it's the only time "you guys" (;)) have ever caught me as a wolf. I beg and plead for it to be done. I hope remus wasnt the seer, because that would suck big donkey nads.
I also want a clarification (Unless i missed it) as to whether they get the results of their scan first, or if the scan and the kill go off simultaneously.
It's a skoch important for determining how powered the wolves/rat bastards/chaos horde is this game.

Re: Warhammer 40K - Burn the Heretic!! Remus -KIA
I'm pretty sure that Remus wasn't Seer, or any other special.
What I would do as a badguy (expect I have never been a badguy in OO werewolf games...), would be scan a person, and if they come as special, convert, or if normal, convert. Only situations that I wouldn't convert is that if they found Chaplin (spelling?), or they want to make us think about "Why no convert?"

Sheesh... Can't a person vote himself anymore?

I am saying that while I see the big 'Plague Marine' message, I felt that part of the text was more of the traditional 'mipe hint', like when he was the herbalist.

his vote for himself as his first post is what bothers me and the fake hint (maybe there is a real hint in there disguised but then if he is not a wolf then they'll take him soon enough).Unagi wrote:So, no one else is reading between the lines there on mipe?

Why say I could be special and I'm not afraid to die in your first few posts.

Yeah, but I'm drinking the mipe coolaid. I don't think we should vote for him today. My gut is telling me that he is not a baddie this game. Frankly, the whole Austin/Chaos/Remus dynamic is interesting. What are the odds that Chaos and Austin are baddies and killed Remus and then one accuses the other to throw us off the trail?

Mipe, I'm fairly positive after about... o ... 5 minutes of debating whether to actually look and 3 minutes of looking at it I figured it out. Just because I didn't comment on it doesn't mean I don't know what you are claiming. Constantly pointing to it means you want the bad guys (if you are not one) to figure it out too. Why pray tell do you think all the people shut up about it? Either you are really really bad at this or you finally got one no one can figure out.mipe wrote:Yeah, I have... But it seems that none of you see it...Semaj wrote:He _might_ have a better clue... but considering his last few dozen games, I could care less. We don't have a bad mipe to judge against.
You want B, not to insult people who try to not draw attention to it.
At some point you have to start wondering if constantly leaving obvious or not so obvious (or so you think) hints about your role are things most people dont do for a reason... Well unless they are so ungodly vague only sheer blind luck would help someone crack it.
I really want to spend like 15 paragraphs ranting at you for how silly a clue is....
But I figured I'd try for explaining subtle.... With an example of it.
First, I'd probably mention spacetravel and how us marines are known for our desire to do it so we can go to other worlds and kill hostile alien creatures. We all enlist and want to be that guy. So now we have enemies in our midst who need some punishing. Otherwise those people back home we are protecting (Like anyone ever invades earth)... Mom, dad, little timmy...
Then a week from now I'd link http://images.elfwood.com/fanq/j/e/jeff ... travel.jpg" target="_blank and claim That guy in the background is clearly a (Insert powered choice here) and thats what I was gunning for in my not so obvious code...
One can argue otherwise, but the point is, unless someone spends hours scouring the internet, or trying to hack it, odds are they wont. I'd prefer if most people missed it and then later on kicked themselves... It has to be _subtle_.... Not hitting us over the hear with a brick with a neon blinking sign that says: "THIS IS ME! COME GET ME EVIL GUYS!"
It doesnt help when we purposely try not to draw attention to it and you keep yelling and screaming it's there. Yeah apparently I need to Lrn2Read... But you need to Lrn2Play

I think I need to call the game. I gave wrong information to the EC about one of thier scans that could have effected the game. They scanned a special and told them that it was a normal. I corrected the error, but I think I need to be fair to both sides. I would like opinion if we should carry on?

Meh, up to you guys....
I assume the results of the scan would change their kill order?
I thought both orders were sent in at the same time.... heh

Anyways.....
We can either
A) reroll - meh it seems rather early for a reroll but maybe thats why it's not a big deal.
B) change the decisions made _after_ the scan result, if they change any, it's early enough in the game if you went: No wait, *x* is dead, not remus, I wouldn't be too sad. Not like there was a reason remus died... unless you spoilerised him already, in which case ignore this option.
c) Continue play from this point on.
If it's a huge game-altering decision, then something needs to be done, but if their play hasn't changed too much because of it, then we should just play through.

Your call in the end, but I guess if this would have effected the EC mostly, and they said play on - play on.
Re-rolls always take a little wind out of people I think.
Ultimately your call, but that's my opinion. I guess it depends on how you feel the results of the game would feel, etc.

I'm inclined to play on. I just want to be upfront.

I'm good with whatever decision is made. You and one's affected would know the best if it affects the game.tru1cy wrote:stessier wrote:There is really no way to answer that question without blowing the game one way or the other.
Just re-roll?
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Tru1cy to reroll
We're not firing you, but I think a new hand should be dealt.
I think Remus would like a reroll too

Note: I am not one of those interested parties.
And Kudos to Tru1cy for being upfront about it.

I would like to apologize to anyone I have not offended.
Please be patient - I will get to you shortly.

See, I think it would have been better had we never known. Now we know a Special has been scanned. Had he just told the EC and they were good with continuing, I wouldn't have had a problem with it since it really only hurt them.
I just think now we know too much.
That being said, I'll keep playing if that is the decision. I should have this all figured out by the next game day morning anyway.
