Fortunately, with my revised plan for this year the Summer event effect doesn't cause me to waste too much time. I drew this in the Spring:
Lost City - Play during your turn. Choose an uncontrolled area containing 1 of your heroes. All neutral units retreat from the area (even if routed). Then place 1 of your stronghold tokens (damaged) in the area.
That takes care of my battle issue in 8A2. With my hero one hex away from 8A2 and the Quest phase this turn, I can move the hero to that hex, play the card, vacate the neutrals elsewhere, and plop the damaged stronghold there (a nice place to hole up since it's worth 3 wood). For my order, I'll do a mobilize and move three units (sorceress, warrior, and archer) to 8A2 to provide further protection to the hex, leaving two archers in my city at 5B. I thought about delaying the Mobilize and doing something else first, but DocD still holds his Conquer order and I'd rather not risk the chances of him going before me and spoiling my fun. Anyway, I'll bid 0 or 1 for the Summer event (remember, I choose who wins ties - this could be interesting). Then I use Fall to harvest to claim my newly gained wood. I'm eyeing the two ore in 5D hungrily but two archers (in the city), all I have left just idling, are not gonna be nearly enough to deal with that threat. Later!
