Assuming that's right, I am going to move a merchant token onto the black resource.
Correct.
The Netherlands places a token onto the black Resource in Mozambique. They now have 1 Merchant Fleet remaining.

Italy(AL) places 2 Treasury tokens in Egypt, using Viceroy. This breaks the orange Monopoly held by France, moving Italy down to spot three on the Diplomacy track.
The AI chose that spot because The Levant has 1 higher population than Egypt. In fact, if the Scientist is played by Italy next turn and he chooses Logistics, then the AI can get enough tokens on Egpyt to found a Colony next turn. A Colony there would allow Italy to ship 6 goods with Merchant.
End of the 3rd Action phase of Turn 1 Endeavor.

Grund, it's your action.
If you Viceroy into Arabia, that would be enough tokens to Colonize it with Conqueror on a future action. However, The Levant has no tokens, and can be also claimed with just Viceroy. This would give you another resource to ship with Merchant later.

When I said trade, I meant outside of normal actions. Trading to and from the Market via the Merchant and Trader are normal actions.

Qantaga, it's your action. You can play Viceroy in any Explored territory, placing 1 Treasury there.

Yes, but remember that we know nothing. Are you saying that there are house rules that allow some sort of off-the-books bartering among nations?

Re-designed rulebook, page 16, describes bartering among players. The Revised Edition will also include the rule.

I see it now.
So you mean we can be all, "Hey, mate! Spot me a Franklin?" and that's kosher?

El Guapo, you can place two Treasury tokens on any Explored territory with your Viceroy, instead of one because you improved Logistics. What'll it be?

We're sorry.
The spreadsheet at this URL could not be found. Make sure that you have the right URL and that the owner of the spreadsheet hasn't deleted it.
It opened at home this morning, very weird.
Maybe google hates IE, I'll try with Chrome in a bit.

I'm at the spot where I'm the most confused...
If I play my financier I get a 10 token debt and add 10 to my treasury.
What happend if I play my Trader instead?

Trader moves goods from the market to treasury (after you have used merchant to move goods from your territories to your market). Since nobody has moved any goods to market yet, the trader (as I understand it) would do nothing currently.

Another question: I was reading the rulebook this morning, and the war discussion was confusing. The rules just say to conduct a land war (where the two powers share territory) and then a naval war. But the example in the margins also refers to a trade war and a European front war (fought using treasury tokens).
Is there a European front or a trade front to a war (per the example) or is there just a land and naval war (per the rules text)?

Italy has chosen Merchant. Our first trading action!
Italy has two Merchant Fleets, and no Colonies. Therefore, they may ship two goods to Market. Italy controls one resource themselves, so they place 1 token from their stockpile onto the Market space. They want to ship other player's goods, so they'll choose randomly, and make an offer.
Qantaga! Italy would like to ship your Resource to market. If you agree, you gain 1 Treasury from your stockpile, and Italy would gain 1 token in the Market, to be Trader-ed later.

The official rulebook was version 1. War was horribly broken before, and now only occurs on Land and Sea.

Right, it would have no effect. Sorry I skipped your turn, but there's only one option that has any effect from your chosen card.

Considering...
SpaceLord, does that mean it would be removing the marker my Viceroy just played into the East Indies or is it just a 1 Treasury gain because I have the Spices and I got the luck of the draw?
