A very cool looking work environment, but her trigger disciple was atrocious.

Of more interest to me is how they actually treat their development team, and it sounds like a 50/50 split. Some people say they're great to work for, others still complain about insane deadlines and crunches.

The more I hear about game developers getting "crunched" to the point of absolute burnout, the less I want to buy a game. Thankfully I'm still interested in Cyberpunk 2077.

Bummer, the April date was a few days after my birthday, and I was looking forward to treating myself to a week or so off to play. Hopefully this results in a better game at least.

I had sent them an email and asked them to bump it from your birthday to mine. Sorry.

So the internet's abuzz today with the exposure of character creation including genital customization. This is what 2020 gives us in trade for wildfires and a pandemic? Thanks 2020. I'd rather have my kids in school than be blessed with a giant cyber-dong.

It's already rated M for Meaty Bits. If your kids are playing it, that's a parental decision.

Eh, for those that care it's a plus. For those that don't, just use the default and move on. Some like it, some don't care. Net positive.

And it isn't the first game to do this.

Dont see the point. Brings the game down a notch. Ive already seen comments like "Im giving him a giant schlong so he can simply smack people in the forehead to death" or "Im giving her a giant hole for a vagina so she earns her name V " Sigh. One was kinda funny..."Im giving my guy a micro-penis so he has a reason to be mad at the world"

So is manscaping a character skill? I guess I'll need to put a few points in that as I don't want to get a critical failure.

I really don't care. I didn't care in Conan Exiles, either. I also don't see the point of all the nudity, giant breast, slutty clothing, and supermodel mods for Elder Scrolls/Fallout, but that doesn't mean other people don't enjoy them. And as long as somebody out there enjoys a thing that doesn't harm others, it's justified.

Nah, dude, you want to leave the pubes. They probably provide a +1 protection vs crotch kicks.

edit: wonder if I can get a cyberdong?

I don't think it's all that uncommon for AAA games to take that long to be developed. For the most part, we never hear about them until they're well into development. The problem with DNF was, they'd announced it way early, and we'd heard about many of the issues they had such engine changes and other things one would generally not be concerned about. I think we can all agree how much of a stinker it ended up being.

So, that said, I wouldn't put them in the same camp. For one thing, CDPR have a lot more to show for the work they've done on Cyberpunk 2077 during the course of development than the DNF team ever had, and I think it will show that all time spent on it was worth it.

I cant seem to access that free Cyberpunk stuff I got. I see it listed in my GAMES section on the website but I cant do anything with it. Then in my GOG client itself it doesn't even show up.

Click on it, scroll down to the text area. The downloads are under 'Extras' on the right. Normally that area would have a big 'Download and Install Now' button, but without the game you just have the extras. It makes it a little confusing.

After suffering through this year I better at least get to immerse myself in a different dystopian future where I can get cool cybernetics and hang out with Keanu Reeves before it's over.

They still haven't officially released the min/suggested specs for it though, right? There's only been speculation? I'm quite nervous my 970 isn't going to cut it.
