A John Wick-esque secret hospital for criminals... eh.

Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum, Dave Bautista as the nurse... now you're talking.

BlacKkKlansman
From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. It’s the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.

HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES directed by John Cameron Mitchell.

I'd love for this to be good because I love Neil Gaiman (on whose short story it is based), but early reviews aren't too positive. The trailer is fun, though.

Documentary on Mr. Rogers coming next month as a theatrical release. (Not to be confused with the Mr. Rogers biopic with Tom Hanks coming next year.)

I will go see this and cry my eyes out the whole time.

Looks like straight-up hagiography, and I'm fine with that. I'd give up if somebody were to ever #MeToo Mr Rogers, or out him as a closet Nazi, or anything like that.

+1 - Everything I have ever heard has always been so positive that it makes Tom Hanks look like a motorcycle gang member.

I closed the trailer 2/3 of the way through. I just lost interest. Either it's an especially bad trailer or this movie isn't for me.

It did remind me of Cities In Flight, though, and I hadn't thought about spindizzies in nearly 50 years. Now THAT would be a movie...or four.

Bad Times At The El Roayle! with Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson, and a bunch of other big names.
Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption - before everything goes to hell.

Looks to me like they're trying to turn Apollo 11 into Apollo 13. The only real-life drama on 11 that I'm aware of is when Neil nearly ran the descent module out of fuel. The trailer looks like typical Hollywood melodrama.

But as a space geek I'm at high risk of going to see it anyway, unless the reviews are lousy.

If it's not chasing Apollo 13, the alternative is chasing The Right Stuff, and that bar is even higher.

It might be fun seeing Claire Foy play an American, though. She's great.

I think the real problem will be making Neil Armstrong interesting. By all accounts he was a rather introverted, solitary person who did everything by the book and showed little passion. It's said he was the inspiration for the relatively soulless astronauts in Kubrick's 2001.

Speaking of Claire Foy:

Claire Foy is the #GirlintheSpidersWeb. Watch the trailer for the next chapter of the Dragon Tattoo series now. In theaters November 9th.
This is from the fourth book in the series of (currently) five, and the first written by David Lagercrantz, who took over after Stieg Larsson's death.

That looks interesting. 100% sure it was based on a young adult novel but they can make pretty decent movies.
