Spoiler:
KPA is attacking the resistance and about to crush the Philly resistance. Parrish is about to make a "last stand" when he got a radio transmission about a NATO agent holed up in the outskirts. Parrish ordered a breakout and got away just as KPA breached the perimeter.

Brody went in and found KPA patrols around the church. He cleared it, then headed inside, and found the NATO agent... an engineer. The SAS troops escorting her were wiped out. She asked Ethan to guide her to the Diner where a pickup truck has the equipment. Just as Ethan was searching, a KPA patrol arrived. Ethan took care of them and found the key, and they headed to the hidden missile silo in the area. Ethan had to infiltrate the place, get into the basement level, and figure out how to turn on the power to open the gate and later, power on the circuits to reactivate full power.

Once that's done, engineer Lisa found that the missile was damaged. Brody called in resistance help, and they found parts that can be rigged as substitutes, but KPA rigged two Duster sites in town and Brody had to hack both of them by taking out the guards around each one.

Once that's done, the entire team of resistance took up defensive positions around the farm house as Lisa fix the missile. And KPA sent in everything except gunships. Troops, armored cars, heavies, and later, multiple Goliath tanks. Then as the missile tries to launch, the silo bay doors got stuck. The only way is for Ethan to run inside the silo and cycle the override locally, which means he was incinerated by the missile's flames.

And just as the warhead detonated, disabling the APEX network, NATO forces offshore moved in. The end.

I have to give up on this one. Controls are just too bad floaty. Cant hit enemies right in front of my shooting me. Will wait for the future when either the game is optimized or I have a better system one day. Until then Im going to delete and shelve it.

There is an option you can check (as in an actual check-box) in Steam that will display your frame rate in the corner of every Steam game. I'm curious as to what your frame rate is with this game.

Im back to this again. Soon as I started the game I remembered why I deleted it. Even the menus were slow. I turned down some stuff and some stuff off. I left textures and the good stuff up but put shadows at low and turned off lens flares and blur and all antialiasing. Did a few more things. Going to look up a tweak guide then test out the game by completely restarting it. Shall see how it goes. Will also try that frame rate counter if Im still having troubles. Im on a gtx 950 noq instead of my old gtx 770. not sure but I think its basically the same card or performance. Shall see.

So I was looking for something in my Steam library to play for awhile, not too complex, maybe an open world shooter. And I saw this game again.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2231 ... evolution/

It is on deep sale right now, only $2.99 USD. I installed and fired it up for the first time in seven years. Turns out it looks and runs just fine on my newer machine, no glitches or issues. I did play it a couple of hours just to be sure, it's still one of my favorite open world shooters.

If you pick up the game, give it a couple of hours. It does start off slow with a bunch of cut scenes to establish the story, then you are in an open world area and it takes a while to figure things out. But once you do I think it's a lot of fun for less than a cup of coffee.

I liked it. Took me two tried though to get into it. I got the 2nd one afterwards but my video card couldn't handle it. Later i was able to play it and it too is good...though I think I liked the first better .
