If Obama made a statement like that they would have taken him away in a straitjacket.

I honestly have to ask, are the two tweets above real or fake?

Both real.

There's been a lot of this today.

I still have faith that the Pentagon would prevent Trump from following through, but I'm at the point where I trust Kim to be saner at brinksmanship.

Also, didn't he just have a long, all-expenses-paid golf vacation? Does he hate getting back to the office -this- much?

Just out of curiosity at this point: what sort of public, official statement by the President would demonstrate unfitness for the job?

I'm pretty sure the answer is 'there is no such statement.'

Remember when Reagan got in hot water for jokingly testing a microphone by saying he was bombing Russia?

Now the President tweets non-jokingly about who has the bigger dick nuke and it's just another day at the office.

I'm sure Fox and Friends will win the coveted "Truthiest Show to Ever Tell the Ultimate Truthiness" award. They should, anyways, since they appear to be driving our entire national agenda at this point.

And I have to again imagine the utter and complete meltdown that conservatives would be having if Obama had said anything remotely similar to this. The outrage and howling would be unlike anything this world has ever seen. But since it's their guy doing the STIGGINIT, it's all perfectly acceptable.

Careful. The last thing we need is Trump hearing someone else did authoritarianism bigger and better than he's doing it.

Tax exempt churches now eligible to receive taxpayer funded aid via FEMA.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will now permit churches to request government aid following hurricanes Irma and Harvey, The Associated Press reported. Private nonprofit organizations that were damaged on or had pending requests as of Aug. 23, 2017, may receive some aid, according to the report.

Three churches in Texas sued FEMA last year after suffering damage during Hurricane Harvey.President Trump in September tweeted his support for the churches.

"Churches in Texas should be entitled to reimbursement from FEMA Relief Funds for helping victims of Hurricane Harvey (just like others,” Trump tweeted.
I need to see more information because I'm having trouble understanding this sentence:
Aid is restricted to expenses that a loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration will not cover, the AP noted.
Why would churches be applying for a small business loan? Either way. Immigrants, children or refugees that don't pay taxes, GTFO out with your aid requests. Churches? Please do enjoy.

Well, nearly everyone who got money after Hurricanes Irma and Harvey got it in the form of a low interest loan from the SBA. I live in Florida, and the process here was to first apply for aid from FEMA. They'll look over your application, and if approved you would be eligible for a loan from the SBA.

I might be getting some of the details wrong, but if you want I can look through my emails. I did a couple of interviews with the SBA after Irma, and I'm sure I still have their press releases.

It hasn't made the major news sites yet, but Trump just dissolved the Election Commission:
Statement by the Press Secretary on the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity

“Despite substantial evidence of voter fraud, many states have refused to provide the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity with basic information relevant to its inquiry. Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense, today I signed an executive order to dissolve the Commission, and have asked the Department of Homeland Security to review these issues and determine next courses of action.”
(We won't win in court, so we're passing this to DHS and hoping our political hacks there can make something of this.)

Yeah, like those democratic strongholds of Kentucky, North Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wyoming.

Really though, this is the best outcome for Trump. He can continue to spout his bullshit about millions of illegal votes without any actual proof of a single one (which the Trumpsters fully believe), and then use it to push for additional voter suppression. MAGA!!
