2 mil and still going strong.
The sculpts do look amazing for Tainted Grail, no doubt about that. And I believe they'll live up to the hype on those if their past games are any indicator. But I have so many damn minis now that they're just spilling off my shelves. I think I'll stick to my guns and just go with the core.
You want them, don’t you? Your love of board game miniatures is strong. I can feel the urge within you. Go ahead! Change your pledge and with every British Pound converted to US Dollars my victory is complete!

I have to keep at least $47,000 aside for the Street Master add ons.
Yeah I pretty much spent my daughter's college fund on my all in Street Master/Aftermath KS pledge...
Book learnin'? Bah, that's for squids! Teach her how to use a backhoe and she'll feed herself for life!
In anticipation of us totally shitting on the earth, I really should be teaching her some shooting skills along with hydroponics, edible plant recognition, preparation of game meat, combat first aid and what is the best combination of athletic gear for both survival in the wastes and for looking good. But at least she'll have a treasure trove of board games that will be quite the entertainment especially since they won't require electrical power...

Oddly enough I did. I'm usually resistant to minis if the game isn't reliant on them and depending on the game I prefer a well made counter or cardboard standees. But the detail on the minis (and I'm hoping the detail shows up on the final product) impressed me enough to give it a shot. Granted I may change my mind before the KS ends and I do have some impressive minis in my Fireteam Zero game that can fill the need for creatures of horror and dread but until then I'm gonna let it ride.
I did as well. Not quite sure why but they did look amazing, detail-wise, and I've got a soft spot for pantheons of this nature right now as I'm powering through The Iron Druid Chronicles series of books. I also need to get some details of the "sundrop preshade" they'll be offering. Ah... found this which is all new to me.
Siljanus should just force his daughter to work in a miniature painting sweatshop, cranking out sundrop minis for all of us. She gets some career skills, she learns humility, and her dad gets to spend her college money on games. Win, win and win.
Now, I'd like to put in my order with Siljanus and Daughter Painting Services. Where can I send it?

Funny you should say this. My daughter is a really talented artist with good fine brush control. Her clay modeling skills and painting technique along with her exacting eye for detail would make her an excellent minis painter I think. I should start her on some of my minis then farm out her talent...for fun of course.
Now I know you’re hungry but just a couple, say 50, more.
(Now goes to internet to figure out what these “sundrop” minis are all about)

Not that they need any help, but Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon hit KS a few hours ago and they made their funding levels in under a minute...and then ballooned to over $800K. To say that people are apparently excited to play is an understatement. What is it?
So this is now an insane value with all the unlocked rewards. Over 1500 cards, 3 books each with over 200 pages of quests/stories/whatever covering three campaign boxes, 12 heroes and their miniatures...I mean...wow, just...wow.
I'm beginning to worry this is a scam with all this stuff. But they are a proven developer, so I probably shouldn't worry...too much.
All of that "stuff" does not make a game good, for the record. How many cards did Apocrypha ship? How many minis did Zombicide ship? More stuff doesn't make a mediocre game great.
Now, where's Aeon's End: Legacy? I need more stuff!
...and your post was perfectly sensible. I have no idea why I put quotes around stuff. I mean right there putting quotes around it would make sense and I didn't do it.

Normally I would be afraid, but your slip up in the Deadpool 2 thread over in EBG indicates to me that the Age of Issie is at an end.
By the way, the rules (well, the beta rules...although it seems they've got the game already designed and ready to go when it comes to the core mechanics) are linked on the kickstarter page. I've started reading those when they're included in an attempt to be an informed consumer. I liked what I saw. A little bit of Mistfall, some Maximum Apocalypse, and a dose of Star Realms/Hero Realms (believe it or not). All wrapped in a narrative heavy game.
I don't care if you non-anonymously quote me. The struggle is real!
In Nemo's War news, the update on the box insert today alluded to them opening up the ability for 1st or 2nd edition owners to purchase the new box/insert for the upcoming 3rd printing.
The new insert does look nice, but it will depend on price as to whether I even bother. I already have the cloth draw bags for the ship and treasure tokens, so I just use those. There aren't enough other components to really worry about needing a bunch of trays and slots for.

When in doubt, skewer it out...I don't know.
Yeah I posted it back on 11/28 but it's an awesome game that has been a huge hit in my game group. I have the handmade wooden version, the game is awesome.
I have a perfect storm of games that just arrived. My Aeon's End Legacy pledge, my Deep Space D-6 pledge and my SpaceCorp 2025-2300 AD pre-order. I need to just do some late night gaming and play each one at least once before Christmas. Or at least unpack them...

Oh yeah, I forgot...I got Deep Space D-6 too today. Looking forward to getting that to the table over Christmas.
Ditto.
I received the set of metal dice for Deep Space D-6 quite some time ago, so it'll be good to finally get 'em to the table.

Aeons End Legacy should be in my greedy little hands Wednesday.
Aeon's End Legacy should be here Thursday, just in time for the winter holiday. Unless it somehow sucks I expect my son and I to finish it before the year is over.
