The village of Scooby's went to sleep that night unsure if they were relieved to have found one of the murderers or sadden at the loss of another of their fellow villagers with another night of danger approaching. As the moon rose the night erupted in howls of rage that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere surrounding the village and seeming to close in on everyone individually. People pushed tables and chair in front of already barred doors before huddling in whatever hiding hole they prayed might keep them safe. Then the howls faded and were gone. The night was silent. A silence that brought with it a deeper terror than the racket raised before. A silence weighted with the certainty of death. Night passed slowly without a sound. Not a cricket dared chirp. Villages sat with cramped muscles rather than risk moving to relieve them and causing a board to creak. As the sun's rays finally broke the darkness a single bird's song broke the silence and a chorus of avian voices greeted the growing light. The villagers slowly arose from their nights paralysis to emerge into the growing light of day. Blinking at the new dawn they counted their numbers. Yet always they came up one short. stessier was missing. With dread dragging its nails down their spine the village walked en mass over to his cabin. They saw his body laying in the doorway. It was several minutes before they saw his head in the tree across the yard.

Wow,
Wait. I did think of 1 reason we should indeed hold off this vote.
withdraw Mr Bubbles
Now, I don't think we really need to wait all that long, and it also totally depends on the answer I get from Remus here...
Remus, Would stessier have gotten his last night's scan results before he died?
If the answer to that is 'Yes' - we should maybe just wait a little bit here and see if we have a Medium in this game - so that the Medium could get that scan results from him.
The risk in rushing the Mr Bubbles vote, before we get that answer from Remus, is that tonight the Medium could actually be killed by the wolves and we'd lose it forever.
Just a thought.

If I do. it might be worth hearing from me

discussion of Bubbles guilt is not the point.
nor is the medium relevant.
Bubbles = my shield.
therefore the discussion should center around the existence of the other wolves and the benefit/risk associated with leaving Bubbles alive.

All night activity gets their results at once so a Seer killed in the night would get scan results at the same time as being informed they had been killed.

Rabid Wolf - converts one non-wolf

what restrictions exist? is the list of available conversion targets the entire set of humans?

Yes, convert becomes a plain werewolf losing any special abilities they had before the conversion.

The Medium thing is still a valid endevour too. There is no reason we should wait a day to get 1 more scan from stessier if we have that option.
One can almost assume that the people who voted for Mr.Bubbles aren't Mediums, as they would have been thinking of wanting to contact stessier.
Clearly, they can freely claim it if I am wrong about that, it's not like it's fakeable.
1. Scoop20906: presumed not Medium

3. Purge: presumed not Medium

I will stay my vote until this medium thing plays out.
Question is, are we going to believe the "medium"? There is a real pandoras box we're opening with that trust, and Unagi may well be doing so as part of a strategy.
Just throwing out there this idea (of which it wasn't mine), WERE Unagi to be sorcerer, and Mr.Bubbles is their Apprentice wolf, that would sever communications.
Kraeg, as to your activities, you have another option. Just because Bubbles is your safe zone doesn't mean that you can't be safe. You could sleep with someone else which means that you only have the same chance at dying as everyone else. If they target you then you won't be at home and are safe, no?
Now granted we can pretty much be sure that Bubbles is a wolf; Stess didn't just think (as he did with CG), he had actually scanned (or was Mipingbird ... where a non-powered villager claims status for no good reason..

)
Since bubbles isn't going anywhere, by leaving him alive we give him the power to still vote with his 2 packmates. Other than that, he does provide the Kraegwhore some night protection which may well serve us later (badum-tish), and in now way affects the night kill. One in the hand and two in the bush, as it were (although given circumstances what they are, it's one in the bush and two on the prowl).

I think I might be agreeing with Unagi again.
Withdraw Bubbles

Well, I guess I should clarify - I was thinking this Medium would be getting one message from a Medium, and that the Mod would announce some Medium contact, or pass the Dead's PM publically himself.
In other words - unfakable, like the hunter.
I think that is how I have seen the Medium done in the past. Maybe I am mistaken.
If it's just someone saying they are the Medium and claiming to speak for stessier, I wouldn't think that would be trustable.
Although, it would have been funny to see you get Wolf #4 to fake Medium and only then find out it's done through the Moderator.

So, I guess I will blame stessier later if Kraegor isn't the whore - as he all but gave it his blessing.
Kraegor, was it simply your late laptop hookup and our long night that tipped him off, as far as you know?

course I'm not a priority. in an end game scenario with 2 unkillable night time targets. especially if one of those targets neuters the final wolf... nope not a priority at all.

so ya didn't want the hunter to shoot the zerker and now you'd like the whore to opt out of night time immunity?

It would appear from the 1 line description of the Medium, that it's based on a PM between the Medium and the Dead.
So, if that is the case - I am not really sure what value it would server - but it would be at least informational to the Medium themselves... so - I think waiting for everyone to have a chance to chime in,is still a wise approach.

the idea being that our whore can stay alive every night if she has a wolf to sleep with. MrB being the one we have no doubt about makes a great candidate.
If Backtosh.... Well, I am sure you understand that predicament to the wolves.
If Chaos.... That's another night target they are going to avoid.
And the rest of us, they would rather be missed lynches. Not waste night kills on their hiding places.

Medium - Can talk to Dead via PM one dead person a night. Thus no spoilers for the dead.
And if you read the rest of the one line, it would appear that it happens at Night.
As far as Bubbles:
If he is a Master, they only lose the ability if he's the only one.
If he's Apprentice, he may have already found the Sorcerer.
If he was Rabid he's lost his mind not converting.
As far as Berserker Bubbles, all we need to do is determine how long we can wait before we MUST vote for him.

I feel there is a good chance that all the wolves are on that vote.
If not, this is where the rest of the votes went:
Against Kraegor(1): Bakhtosh
Against mipe(1): Grundbegriff
Against stessier(2): redrun, Unagi
Against purge(1): Newcastle

True.
OK - well, scrap the concern about giving the medium a chance to check in.
(side note for later: I think the Medium role should be a Mod controlled event. I think we had that one time it was 'a public seance' (so the Mod effectively proves the Medium), and the text was a prepared statement by the Dead Guy.)
Chaosraven wrote:As far as Bubbles:

Everyone should do their best to just totally ignore him. His votes as well - but we should keep in mind what they are capable of...
His vote will
perhaps be placed on wolves -
perhaps not.
Again - we should ignore them entirely - but be painfully aware of his ability to vote.
