Really enjoyed The Amazing Johnathan

Ugh, the Amazing Jonathan was a staple on Comedy Central and I think random shows on regular TV in the 1980s and early 90s. "Sometimes magic sounds like tape" still makes me laugh.

I knew he was sick, I didn't realize just how much worse it had become. RIP funny man. May you be streak-free in the afterlife.

I loved him as a kid.

Hot Lips Hoolihan Sally Kellerman succumbs to dementia at 84.

I remember her from Star Trek and Back to School more than MASH. Always looked about the same her entire life. Lovely lady.

I only knew her from M.A.S.H. But she was definitely an integral part. R.I.P.

I mostly remember her from Where No Man Has Gone Before.

His death was announced by friends on social media. TMZ reports the cause of death as lung cancer based on confirmation from family.

In the two-season Salute Your Shorts set at a teen summer camp, Baily played camp counselor (and butt of jokes and pranks) Kevin “Ug” Lee. Created by Steve Slavkin and produced by Propaganda Films, the series co-starred Danny Cooksey, Erik MacArthur and Blake Soper as several of the campers.

Although Baily would make appearances as an actor in various series following the cult favorite Salute Your Shorts, he was most prolific as a voice actor for animated TV, film and video games in the several decades prior to his death.

Which one was he? Never heard of him or that show...and the lot of them have a face for voice acting.

Thousands of people die each day. I'm supposed to have some specific compassion for all of them? If it's someone I recognizes, fine, but I still have no idea who this guy was, so why should he place above anyone else who died that day?

Nobody could adequately explain that. I asked who he was and aside from him being from some show I never heard of, I did not get any answer that seemed to matter.

When someone dies your response shouldn’t be he had a face for radio. Asking people to justify why you should show compassion is just Jeff icing on the Jeff cake.

As for what flavor Jeff icing would be, I’m going with mocha.

My point is it's hard to show any particular empathy for someone you know nothing about. Was he a wife beater? Did he rape children? I don't know, so why should my default response assume he was a magnificent human being that will be sorely missed by the majority of society?

Some of my favorite actors have a face for radio. I like them because they are good actors who have done amazing things that I'm well aware of. This guy did not do that...maybe he would have in a few decades, but we'll never know. If a picture of him in the box was ravishing, then maybe I could have commented on what a gorgeous corpse he left behind, but that's not the case, is it? I calls it as I sees it. The dude was an actor fine. Was he his generation's George Clooney? I think not. That he resembles my cousin (who several here have had run-ins with on FB) is another strike -- if my cousin dropped dead tomorrow, I'd find it hard to give any fucks because he's proven to be a shit-stain of a human.

The JeffV is a curious creature, I will say. One is never sure how he’ll respond to even the simplest human events or emotions.

Is dill even a flavor? I’ve always assumed it was tasteless and that Big Dill was just trying to convince us it wasn’t in order to sell more of it.

Bookman has died

'Good Times' Star Johnny Brown Dead at 84

Johnny Brown, who played housing project superintendent Nathan Bookman on the massively hit show "Good Times," has died.

Johnny's daughter Sharon Catherine Brown tells TMZ, he was at his doctor's office in L.A. Wednesday getting his pacemaker checked out, and shortly after he left he went into cardiac arrest and collapsed. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he passed. She says the appointment was routine, so his sudden death was a shock.

sounds like there may be some liability there...
