“What made people, including myself, most heartbroken when we watched the show was how emaciated Dear Leader Kim Jong-un has looked,” a middle-aged North Korean man in a straw hat told the North’s state-run Central Television. “Everybody says they could hardly fight back tears.”

Mr. Kim, even after his weight loss, isn’t exactly svelte. He could easily weigh twice as much as many North Koreans adults, according to some analysts.

Anybody else wonder why NK hasn't served up any shenanigans for Biden yet? They ought to be probing, but I haven't heard boo about them in a long time. I wonder if they're preoccupied with covid, which last I heard didn't officially exist there.

It was originally intended to be a single, smirking reference to The Born Loser and the Dear Leader after his phallic boasting literally blew up in his face, but ended up blossoming into the NK thread (which is why I adjusted the title.)

I think I'll tweak it one more time to fit the newer format we seem to have adopted.

North Korea assumes leadership of top disarmament group

North Korea has temporarily taken over as head of a top nuclear disarmament forum at the United Nations.

It comes as the pariah state was earlier this year accused of testing an intercontinental ballistic missile, which are banned by the UN Security Council.

However it assumed the presidency of the Conference on Disarmament as the position rotates between members.

The move sparked immediate criticism of the forum's effectiveness.

A number of non-government organisations had urged countries to walk out of the room - a common form of diplomatic protest. While member states did not do this at Thursday's session, some nations sent only lower-level representatives.

It makes sense though. The experiments with the Poop Canon weren't what most would call successful. And they caused more issues for the shooter than the target.
