The 'whore' reason for not lynching Mr Bubbles was actualy Kraegor's. I just put the brakes on the rushed vote, for what ended up being a moo point.

Re: Scooby's Werewolf Village - Wednesday Day
Hi, I'm Purge. I'm unpowered and innocent, yet I really, really, really don't want to be lynched. I have evidence against Austin, except I don't, because I can't, because he's not a wolf.
That said, a part of me would much rather lynch Tru1cy today as we keep saying we will lynch the quiet potential wolves, and yet we never do. Him or redrun who I forgot was playing.

What you guys need to do is get Purge up to 1 vote short before lynching him. I think he might crack under the pressure and spill the beans. Then you can shift the votes back to me.

However, but Unagi and Austin are correct. We know Mr Bubbles is a wolf. Therefore according to the rulez if the whore/kraegor visits Mr Bubbles then he can not be the target of that night's attack. In effect, he can't be killed for the remainder of the game unless the other werewolf also happens to be a zerker and kills him. Its an oversight in the rulez in my opinion but having created a few rulesets I know how difficult to balance things especially with the random roles too.
Evil humans do not count towards a 'more evil then good' loss - this gives us more time.
Save the whore and let the wolf vote or kill the wolf and put the whore in danger.
Why does Mr. Bubbles keep voting for himself? Wolf with a death wish? Trying to
save another wolf from the lynch? Looking for a beserk kill? Crazy evil human
who is part of massive plot by Theohall, Stessier, Mr. Bubbles to get themselves
all killed while completely fooling us as to Stessier's role so when Mr. Bubbles
comes up human we're all shocked? Reverse logic - we won't vote with a wolf,
so he votes for himself? Mostly just thinking out loud here.

See it isn't just about keeping Kraegor alive, it's about removing the chance of a twofer for the wolves.

I'm not trying to complain. I just don't like situations where someone can't be killed. Then again, the wolves do have a recourse if one of them is a zerker he can end Kraegor so I guess its not that unbalanced. I will renounce my critique of the rulez. Sorry, Remus.Unagi wrote:Regarding the lynching of Mr.Bubbles:
There is just no way around this guys, there is no reason to lynch him Today - as it's clear we can lynch him tomorrow and it buys our whore another day alive. There is just NO reason to have your vote there. None. And yet - some people still do. Are you people not understanding why it's stupid to kill off the one known wolf today?
Regarding the 'imbalance', I certainly see the point you've made Scoop - but the key to this game was the random assignemnt of roles... Could you imagine the imbalance if the wolves were all Rabid, or if all the Good Specials (minus the 1 obligatory Seer) were all 'wolvesbane'. There was a lot of potential for imbalance in this game, but we all signed up... I am cool with riding the whore thing out, the whore needed to find a 'known' wolve before she could sleep easy. (that's a whore joke).
Oh, and Unagi, I take back my credit given to you and given it to its true owner, Kraegor.

Ouch, Newcastle - give it some thought. the right move here is to use this Known Wolf to our advantage. There is no harm in killing him last - and today is NOT our last chance.
i guess am leery of him being a boom wolf, but that woudl have been seen via stessiers scan, i woudl think right.
The other thing that this puts into perspective is that i am almosrt 100% sure that lassr was the herbalist, i made a comment ages ago,a nd bubbles said something basically saying, no lassr isn't. Also shown via stessier dyign last night.
ok...withdraw bubbles

FWIW, when the wolves outnumber or equal the number of villagers, wolves win no matter who in invulnerable. It's a little worse in this game since we may have a sorcerer who can vote with the wolves to lynch an otherwise immune player. So that in itself is balance to invulnerable players.

Re: Scooby's Werewolf Village - Wednesday Day
huh - i'm missing something....lassr eaten on the first night. During the previous day he made some sort of remark i picked up on; need to go back and check it out...too lazy to link. and also this is more me trying to piece things together and talk out loud.....let me find the link......
http://www.octopusoverlords.com/forum/v ... 5#p1315215" target="_blank
then bubbles says.......
- what this might mean is we can look for anyone who might have been planting the seeds of coming out as that special...but hell thats only a one night cover, as soon as you claim that you die the next day if a special is covered...unless....since youre the wolf, you control the kills, and nibble around the supposedly protected target.....
As for taking out Mipe...easy.....they knew they'd get Stessier at night, any dmg he'd do in terms of getting info, well for some reason they saw mipe as a threat, or they had to know what he was...because he was sending out some really strange vibes. So that means they had not scanned him (yeah i know we dont know the powers in the game)...but something int he way he was acting really made them wonder....which is actually an interesting point, because something was throwing him off. So i need to go back through this and look at what mipe was saying and how peopel reacted to it....secondly, was anyone planting the seeds of trying to become the herbalist?
As far as suspects......
my quick rundown -
leaning good -
unagi - am trusting more than not
scoop - see unagi
kraeggor - damn i need that whore to visit
neutral
strange vibes
purge
truicy - silence
austin - playing a very strange role
redrun - no real read due to no participation
semaj - no real read on him either
hmm who am i forgetting?
you mean why take stessier out at night?
maybe they thought that mipe was something
http://www.octopusoverlords.com/forum/v ... 5#p1315215" target="_blank
then bubbles says.......
So putting the fires down on my enthusiasm...it's a moot point, because Stessier is dead, it only goes to show that he was operating (bubbles) with some knowledge that Lassr was the herbalist (and yes I am going with that option). They had a clear shot at stessier last night, and i dont think any herbalist would have not protected stessier last night.Mr Bubbles wrote:That very well might be, but I took it as a joke and doubt that post was pointing to a specific role.Newcastle wrote:I found this around page 4-5ish; am wondering if this could potentially be the reason lassr was killed; perhaps the wolves thought lassr was hinting at a role here, and thought it best to take him out.Lassr wrote:Semaj, I sprinkled Scooby Snacks around your hut, maybe it'll draw them away from mine.

Re: Scooby's Werewolf Village - Wednesday Day
As the villagers of Scooby's gathered that day they were quick to shout for Bubbles death. "stessier told us he was a wolf and he died last night. lynch Bubbles for stessier" went the most common call. Then a single voice rose above the rest. "What about lynching Purge?" and the crowd paused. "The whore needs someone to sleep with." came a second voice over the crowd. Purge or Bubbles, Bubbles or Purge the crowd swayed one way then rushed back the other. Finally Bubbles said "Fine, I don't want to die anyway." and opened the back of Purge's skull with a metal pipe. "Plus, I found where he was hiding these things." Bubbles grinned.
The crowd of villagers watched the body of Purge as blood pooled deeper and deeper around his ruined skull as he lay in the dust at the edge of the well. The body twitched once. Then again. Then it lay still for eternity. Purge was Human.
It is night.
You know the drill

To Newcastle's point, if they thought Lassr was a herbie, they had to splodie on him. Then if Mipe was a Herbie, chances were very good that nobody could protect stessier. The protector is probably the best choice for the wolves to take out via zerk.

Well, Purge - if you were not the sorcerer - I think you played on the wrong side and with a strange, strange way of helping the village.
First, I am very much aware of how everyone will read me talking about another person being the sorcerer - so please spare it.
There were times where I thought Purge could be the sorcerer, as he seemed to be riding the fence on a lot of choices. As if he didn't know which 'play' was the one that would help his wolves and which wouldn't.
For what it's worth - I still think it was wise to keep MrBubbles alive tonight - (Provided, stessier, that Kraegor is indeed the whore.)

And would you try and attack the Herbie on the first night, the night where I do believe most 'protecters' protect themselves?Austin wrote:To Newcastle's point, if they thought Lassr was a herbie, they had to splodie on him. Then if Mipe was a Herbie, chances were very good that nobody could protect stessier. The protector is probably the best choice for the wolves to take out via zerk.
And again - why did they then waste the Zerker on Mipe? (although, I suppose Lassr and Mipe could have both been Herbies)
My thought is the "scooby snack" was them thinking Lassr was perhaps a weredog.
