It is a little humorous that what set them off is a post office who put up Obama and Biden.

No, in this case it has everything to do with the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. (Hint: it's illegal)
Only if they are actually doing the apprehension. As a backstop, recon, and force multiplier it is ok and has been done. I have every confidence this will be pretty much the same thing just perhaps over a larger area.
Boom, just like I said.

Trump likes to announce stupid things like patrolling our borders with the military, and then the WH has to scramble and do something that isn’t quite what he said, but appears to be if you squint hard enough.

I've noticed a growing trend of Trump supporters claiming that Obama was the Worst. President. Ever...while simultaneously pointing to exactly what Obama did as justification for Trumps actions. "See, Obama did the same thing Trump is now proposing!"

I would think that if you're going to continually claim that Obama destroyed America, you'd want Trump to do something different.

I'm all for border security and I don't necessarily disagree with either the idea of a wall or the NG being utilized to backstop our federal border control agents, but what is this 'crisis at the southern border'??
Immigration from the southern border is at, literally, a 50 year low.
Doesn't seem like the NG is really necessary atm. Trump just being trump has more effectively curtailed immigration than is probably possible via any other means, a wall included.

Haven't you heard about THE CARAVAN OF IMMIGRANTS HEADING NORTH THROUGH MEXICO?? Fox told him.

At the next press conference, reporters should ask Trump to tell us about it. 10-to-1 he'll describe it as a violent migration of lawless barbarians necessitating an armed response at the border rather than the organized protest action (mostly women and children) that it actually is.

I kid. Reporters can't ask that because Trump hasn't held a press conference since three weeks after the inauguration.

Deploying the NG right now is red meat for the base, nothing more.

YOU'RE THE PUPPET!

(Sorry, it's mandatory at this point).

Typical Trump fear-mongering. However, look at the silver lining. As long as Trump is distracted "fixing" problems that don't exist, we're limiting the actual damage he could be doing if he was competent. So there's that.

Just wait until he realizes some of those Mexicans are transexual pedophiles. And some, I assume, are good people.

I think so too. He's perfectly willing to be Trump's bitch, he's carrying out a super conservative agenda, and Trump is pro-corruption, so I'm not sure why Trump would ditch him. Plus to the extent that Trump wants to at least preserve the option of firing Sessions and replacing him with Pruitt (and so avoiding a senate confirmation hearing for Session's temporary replacement), I don't think he can do that if Pruitt gets fired first.

Oh joy, the asshole is back on his "millions of illegal votes" shtick again. (via Zeke Miller, the AP's White House reporter)

https://twitter.com/ZekeJMiller/status/ ... 52226?s=20
Trump in WV: "In many places, like California, the same person votes many times. You probably heard about that. They always like to say 'oh that's a conspiracy theory.' Not a conspiracy theory, folks. Millions and millions of people."
Someone should ask Trump why Democrats would need the extra votes in California. Or why, if there are millions of instances of this happening, his Voter Fraud Commission couldn't find a singe goddamn one.

When asked what the president was referring to in regard to the “levels” of rapes, a White House official said the president was referring to “a stat.”
In context, it's his way of saying "see, I'm right 'They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.'" without actually proving it.

I heard after sourcing his own quote as evidence, he held up a candid of Clinton that made her like a grandmother with dementia acting up.

Every day brings fresh evidence that facts don't matter to 1/3 of the American population. They simply dismiss any data that contradicts what they're told to believe. Arguing with them is futile; you can't win an argument when evidence is irrelevant.

The 1/3 of us in the reality-based community need to work on the 1/3 who just don't give a shit.

He's saying if we build a wall rape caravans can't cross in to the US and therefore rape will go down in Mexico because they can't send their rapist caravans to us and rape will return to levels people have seen before. Jesus, it's like you don't even understand how the Post Office works in the US. If we just slapped up Amazon with an Antitrust lawsuit, we wouldn't have to subsidize them through the postal service with the taxes small businesses and American people to build that wall.
