Cop is writing a Ferrari a ticket and the guy jumps in and tries to leave. Which is legal I do believe. Cop sticks his foot under the wheel so the guy can't leave. guy doesn't see it and runs over cop's foot. Cop then slaps the hell out of the car with his hand and jerks the guy out and throws him down and arrests him.

To me I dont see this standing up in court. If it was me as judge I'd do what someone in the comments said..dock the cop his checks to pay for any damage to the car and make him apologize to the guy. I'd be surprised if the guy didn't sue the city for that crap. Im usually pro police but this time I'd have an urge to get out of my car and deck the sob.

In police eyes, stepping in front of the vehicle puts the cop in harm's way (even if he could easily have stepped aside), so rolling the car forward on him constitutes assaulting an officer. He was unnecessarily harsh in getting the driver out of the car, that's for sure, but I'm not sure I would call it brutality.

My visceral reactions are biased by my belief that anyone who owns a Ferrari and would try to push somebody with it is a special kind of douchebag.

Was it a parking ticket or moving violation? Car looks parked to me.

Cop clearly wins. He's doing his job. Douche boy thinks he can skate. He can't.

Guy spends a quarter million bucks on a car and has to be a bitch about a $100 or whatever ticket?

According to the video description, the car had just been retrieved by a valet at the hotel when the cop started writing the ticket (or at least, the valet was the one who parked it there, because the guy who made the video specifically states that the car owner retrieved his keys from the valet immediately before this all starts). There's no clear indication of why the car is being ticketed since it isn't illegally parked, it has a license plate, etc.

EDIT: Also apparently witnesses claim he didn't actually run over the cop's foot, although that seems hard to prove one way or the other unless there's broken bones or whatever.

I feel that neither one of the men acted correctly in a civilized community.
