PBS aired Robotech for a while on Sunday nights for some inexplicable reason! Right after "Greetings! Greetings, fellow stargazers!"

Back in the 80s we were in range of 2 PBS stations, one in Philadelphia and the other in New Jersey. One showed Doctor Who in the original serial format 30 minutes each week night. The other showed a full 4-6 episode story Saturday nights. They were out of sync too so you got a nice variety, Tom Baker in the week, Pertwee on the weekend and so on. It was heaven for me at the time. They also aired once, and only once, the entire run of Blake's 7, one episode per night until it was over. Good times but I got poor sleep those few months as they aired it at 11pm. Then I discovered The Prisoner.

Does anyone else remember a show that aired on (pretty sure) PBS, late at night on the weekend - and it featured totally random independent film makers short films. Most often it was just totally bizarre material. Occasionally there would even be some nudity to be found.

The summer before 5th grade we moved to a new town, and I knew no one.

School wouldn't start for two months, but I could get three different Star Trek (TOS) episodes on three different channels every day.

Thats all one really needs.

Actually when I was in Maine we had a third and fourth channel. One was CBC which specialized in Curling and some French Canadian station that everybody watched on Saturday nights, even tho none of us spoke French Canadian because they had 10 seconds of nudity in every 1 1/2 movie. And they were dull and in B&W.

The channel was TQS ans the show was Bleue Nuit. As time went on, the movies got... better. So much better.

Twas a glorious time.

You know, when I was writing it, it didn't look right but I was on my phone and didn't feel like looking it up so I wrote it the way it should have been written because, yes, night is feminine.

I'm on my laptop and just looked it up and sure enough, they did write it incorrectly as Bleu Nuit. I guess we were all too excited to notice the error...

Not sure if serious, but since no one answered, it's Blue Night. Once upon a time risque things like swearing and nudity were considered blue. Certain comedians were known for "working blue".

Blue night = risque night or porn night, if you prefer.
