It's not particularly hard if you're adept at the techniques, but (clean sounding) tapping and tremolo picking aren't exactly things that you just pick up overnight.

I haven't paid any attention to Star Wars since the prequel debacles, but that actually looks pretty damn cool.

Where would one start if they were to jump into this show? The 2008 movie looked horrible...is it a prerequisite for the TV show?

Also, wasn't there a Clone Wars cartoon that was around before the movie? I swear I have a DVD or two laying around for it...doesn't look like the same thing as that preview though.

You dont have to watch the movie. I didn't. I started with the series. As far as i know it came after the movie. They are one like season 3 or 4. I haven't caught an ep in over a year though or more. I stopped right when Cad Bane appeared in the story so Ive missed a lot.

There are five seasons, I think, and as an extended treatment of the Star Wars universe it's actually pretty decent. They obviously love the material and try to make it worthwhile, and they've attempted to give it some (kid-appropriate) grittiness.

Some episodes are great fun, some are meh, but none are as bad as Lucas' Episode I.

Ah. What you linked seems to be a short-lived earlier incarnation of the Clone Wars series (the "2003 series"). The ones I've seen (the "2008 series") are all done in the style of the animated movie.
