That doesn't fit with how I understood the rules to work.

My understanding was that crushing would only occur if you were on the crusher when it activates. However, I was on the belt above the crusher when it activated, and was dumped onto the crusher space by that belt after the crusher had done its thing. In other words, I was on F3 when the crusher on F4 activated.

Clearly, I'm confused about how the crushers work. It would've been trivial for me to avoid the crusher in a variety of ways, and I specifically tried not to be on the crusher, but to be on the adjacent belt link, when the crusher went off.

Could you please explain exactly how and when the crusher works, so I won't misinterpret? (I'm grateful for the mulligan, but I'd like to be sure I understand the mechanics!)

Nevermind. I found the missed rule in the "factory floor guide", which I hadn't read. The rulebook doesn't make it clear, but the sequence is belts, pushers, gears, and then crushers.

Yikes. Not an auspicious start.

Not a problem. Again, I was working through turns to ensure proper understanding of the rules and I must have missed that issue. Otherwise, I would have returned a message to you about the issue to ensure everybody was on the same page.

Remus and srdaniel, did you see that conveyor belt you went from? see those numbers, 2 and 4? Don't those numbers mean that that part of conveyor belt doesn't activate until phase 2 or 4?
Well, I would be at pretty much same spot as Stess if I would have known that those go on all phases :(

Bleh, second hand in a row where I get more than 5 Rotate left/right or U-turns....

This hand turns out badly, I will get at least 2 damage.

The things with numbers on them on the belts are the crushers. They only go on the numbered phases. The belts run every phase. Same thing with the pushers (the walls with numbers).

Don't rush yourself on my account. Plus, there are several in line between you and I so feel free to take some target practice first.

Possible delay to Turn 2 being processed. I finally found a medication that doesn't agree with me, hitting me with seven of the eight listed side effects. I'm off of as of this morning, but it still may impact my ability to process the turn.

Really, you only have to process 4 hands. I'm sure Twonky is too dizzy to go anywhere and Trundle will "purposefully" drive into the Pit.

(Hope you feel better. Incidentally, the plan is not to try as many medications as possible until you find one with side effects. People are usually happy to just try the one they need and hope it doesn't have any. Just trying to be helpful. ;) )

Phase 1:
Grundbegriff (Trundle Bot) - Move 1 (650)
mipe (Hulk X-90) - Rotate Left
Remus West (Squash Bot) - Move 3 (800)
Shinjin (Twonky) - U-Turn
srdaniel (Spin Bot) - Rotate Right
stessier (Twitch) - Move 2 (760)

Squashbot slams into the back of Twitch, pushing him directly next to the wall at the end of the conveyor belt. Twitch then proceeds to strip his gears as he tries to move through the wall on a Move 2.

Belts shift Twitch 1 block South. Belts shift Squash Bot 1 block West and rotate him left.

Twitch receives one point of damage from Laser fire from Squash Bot.

Phase 2:
Grundbegriff (Trundle Bot) - Rotate Left
mipe (Hulk X-90) - Move 1 (640)
Remus West (Squash Bot) - Rotate Right
Shinjin (Twonky) - Rotate Left
srdaniel (Spin Bot) - move 1 (560)
stessier (Twitch) - Move 1 (550)

Belt shifts Squash Bot 1 block South.

Twitch is damaged (2) by laser fire from Squash Bot.

Twitch's archive location is updated to the double wrench.

Twonky has the option of laser fire or Tractor Beam on Trundle Bot

Not on phase 2. All laser fire is resolved simultaneously, so they would fire at the same time that the tractor beam does. The light beams would be long gone by the time Trundle Bot was pulled into a new position.

Sorry for the delay in the action. I only just got back from a day trip.

But it seems to me that even without the added flair of mutual laser fire, the use a tractor beam would be most entertaining about now. Besides, what good are options that aren't exercised?

Let's see what happens... :pop:

Phase 3:
Grundbegriff (Trundle Bot) - Move 2 (690)
mipe (Hulk X-90) - Rotate Right
Remus West (Squash Bot) - Move 1 (600)
Shinjin (Twonky) - Move 1 (610)
srdaniel (Spin Bot) - Rotate Left
stessier (Twitch) - Move 1 (590)

Squash Bot pushes Twitch onto Flag 1. Twitch then proceeds to acquaint himself with the wall by attempting to Move 1 through it.

Trundle Bot gears down and pushes Spin Bot onto an express belt to nowhere.

Twonky is shifted on block S by belts.

Spin Bot is shifted E, rotated right by express belt 1, shifted 1 block S by belt 2.

Twonky learns about karma and takes one point of laser damage from Spin Bot

Twitch continues to be Squash Bot's punching bag and takes his third point of damage.

Phase 4:
Grundbegriff (Trundle Bot) - Move 2 (700)
mipe (Hulk X-90) - Move 2
Remus West (Squash Bot) - Move 1 (520)
Shinjin (Twonky) - Move 2 (680)
srdaniel (Spin Bot) - move 1 (500)
stessier (Twitch) - Rotate Left

Squash Bot vainly tries to flatten Twitch, grinding his gears, but gets nowhere. Instead, he puts a fourth hole through Twitch's chassis.

Spinbot tries vainly to drive up conveyor belt, but can not generate enough power ... to escape the crusher. Spin Bot's innards spang off of Trundlebot's skin.

srdaniel, you can be placed at the start location at the start of turn 3 with 2 damage (7 cards or you have the option of being shut down for turn 3 and starting turn 4 with full health.

mipe (Hulk X-90) - Rotate Right
Remus West (Squash Bot) - Rotate Left
Shinjin (Twonky) - Move 3 (820)
srdaniel (Spin Bot) - Signal lost...
stessier (Twitch) - Move 3 (810)

Hulk X-90 is shifted one block W by the belt and rotated left.

Twonky is shifted one block S and rotated right.

Damage Count

Grundbegriff (Trundle Bot) : 0
mipe (Hulk X-90) : 0
Remus West (Squash Bot) : 0
Shinjin (Twonky) : 1
srdaniel (Spin Bot) : 0
stessier (Twitch) : 4

Shinjin, you had the option of sacrificing the Tractor Beam to prevent the point of damage. I figure I know the answer, but was remiss in not asking after phase 3.

For ending the turn on a double wrench with no damage (no need to choose), Squash Bot receives:
