After much deliberation and finger pointing most of the morning, Unagi shouts over the group, "Can you guys just get your act together! Seriously, this exercise should have only taken us about an hour and it is getting on afternoon. We need to stop this petty squabbling and come to a consensus." Everyone looked at each other. Maybe Unagi had a point.

After a quick discussion, it became obvious. Of the most likely candidates on their list, it had to be Scoop20906. He has to be the saboteur, so several people quickly cast their votes.

Chaosraven, one to never be left out of a potential kill, pipes up, "You know, killing Scoop20906 sounds good to me. It has been days since I've strangled anyone." He looks over at Isgrimnur sitting beside him with a big smile. When their eyes meet, Isgrimnur feels a chill run down his spine and breaks out in a cold sweat. Isgrimnur quickly gets up and moves to the other side of the room while subconciously rubbing his neck. Chaosraven then turns to El Guapo on his other side, "Was it something I said?" Chaosraven sniffs his armpits and shrugs.

After a few more quick votes for Scoop20906, Remus West, then declares, "Alright, alright. I will vote for Scoop20906 TOO. Anything TO wipe that stupid look off of his face." Several others quietly concured.

Fixed in my original post.

Theohall switched his vote from RMC to Unagi during the space-time continuum malfunction.

RMC, good catch. I would say the force is strong with you, but then everyone would think it is some kind of hint, then pandemonium would ensue, so I will just say "Thanks!" instead.

Of course, I want to find Rebels. Why shouldn't we consider you? Just because you suggested to get busy voting?? Hiding in plain sight by being "helpful" worked very well in recent games for a few bad guys.

Looking around the room, Coop saw the many eyes settling on the sleeping Scoop, including those of Grundbegriff. Without taking his eyes off Grund, Coop cast the penultimate vote on Scoop grumbling, "Anything to get this mess moving." Of course the expectation was the sleeping Scoop would defend himself, but he was unlikely to wake for hours yet. The waiting began.

Well Theoahall, that's fine. I don't know how "all helpful" I'm being. If anything I'm being a little like LordMortis in the last game, where he wanted people to participate in the front game so that we had more info in the end game.

You are holding this out to everyone: "Unagi want's to get someone run up to N-1", as if everyone didn't just sign up to do that repeatedly over the course of the next few weeks.

The secret vote would be in place, and he would be dead right now, because of your careless push to N-1.

I'm confused. My "careless" push to N-1 was based on your request for a push to N-1. Was your push to get us there also careless or was it a test?

In honesty it hadn't occurred to me the secret vote might already be there. I guess my mind was set on the secret vote being the killing vote. Apparently it wasn't and trig pulled us back from the ledge, so I'm not longer nervous. :)

Rethinking it, I'm convinced Yoda wouldn't use his one secret vote unless it was the killing vote, since it can only be used once and can't be changed once cast.

Interesting. We did indeed get to N-1 did we not?

No apparent overvote.

I can understand that on the Empire part--Dooku's flying pretty blind right now. Yoda, on the other hand, knows his comrades and knows he can place a vote and not endanger one of his rebellious comrades.

Hmm. VERY interesting, no?

Scoop? It ain't looking good, buddy. If you're Empire, you should be dead.

Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps neither Yoda or R2 are active roles for the Rebels?

Is that a possibility?

9 Rebel roles, possibly 7 Rebel players (perhaps 6, but I think 7 is more likely).

Unagi, I think it's more likely that R2 is active and Yoda is not in this game.

R2's ability is a one-time fire, is it not? He gets to fiddle with the Imperial computers once in the game and that's it, right?

I think it's completely conceivable that R2 is holding that shot in abeyance for now. Every turn R2 avoids a lynch, that power he holds becomes more powerful.

There is the obvious explanation, then there is the not unlikely possibility that Yoda wasn't around to cast the kill vote and hadn't sent the moderator a conditional order, if such a thing would be allowed.

The other option is Yoda is someone who overthinks things and is saving that vote.

Votes at 7:03 am to place at n-1 and retreat at 7:24 am? (Coruscant Daylight Time)

Seriously? Some of us aren't even conscious by then. Talk to me when someone sits at n-1 for a period of 8 hours or so before running someone up the flagpole.

Did you just pull your vote to give yourself cover for later? You've just thrown up with a huge spike on my radar.

I'm still trying to sort through the time-traveling forums to get the order of everyone's posts straight in my mind. I think I've about got it figured out from bb2112's vote tallies and from Lassr's time stamps (his testing posts).

My initial read on the Scoop train has to do with stessier and Lassr. They seem to be the two that really stoked the fires toward Scoop (the 3rd and 4th votes, if bb2112 has the order correct and if I've sorted the times out accurately). Once stess and Lassr moved to Scoop, the Scoop train really gained momentum. In my mind, stessier and Lassr are going to look very good, if Scoop is a Rebel. If Scoop is Imperial, it will make me consider stess and Lassr more closely as (one or both) being Rebels.

coop, can you really not see the discrepancy? You say you're nervous about the secret vote. You say that your mind was set on the secret vote being the killing vote. You say you're more convinced now that you've thought about it (that the secret vote would be the killing vote). The problem is that you say that you're nervous, but your actions (putting Scoop at N-1 where that secret vote became a possibility) say that you're not nervous at all about the secret vote. It looks like you're trying to make an excuse for your actions, while carrying them out anyway.

So Yoda is in the game, but R2D2 isn't.

Good to know.

I'm a little confused.

Are you two just speculating (based on the Scoop train)? Or have you seen something definite?

Good to know I am not the only one thinking there might not be any secret votes in the game at all.

Nevermind what Yoda would do. The question is what R2D2 would do.

Why are you worrying about Yoda (who may or may not be in the game)?

Yep. I'm a Rebel.
You've just thrown up with a huge spike on my radar.
Then vote to lynch me.

Or think about why, with 5 days to go and 4 potential overvotes out there that I wanted to step back for a second first.

That's a big 10-maybe. I've been assuming that Good Specials other than the Emperor are possibly present (randomly decided), but that all Evil Specials are definitely present, since there's no Evil category analogous to "Emperor's Royal Guard".

 Withdraw Scoop20906

That bandwagon developed way too quickly for comfort. Maybe it was just a function of impatience, since the game has started with a lull, but boredom doesn't necessarily spawn a bum rush like that.

so just curious...the game started pretty damn slow...then there was a rush to vote scoop. Now, that darth bieber picture is worth it alone to lynch him. But anything else? Just a funky train is all, and i wonder how many wolves are sitting on it.

Also, why wouldnt yoda hold back? I could easily see him not using it on a daily basis to mess with our minds.

Just speculating on the Scoop train.

We got to N-1.

Cases:

1. Scoop is Empire, Yoda is in-game, but was not active during the Scoop train formation. I find this to be fairly unlikely...Scoop's train didn't form up that rapidly. Could happen, I guess.
2. Scoop is Empire, Yoda is in-game, but didn't cast his overvote for him even though he was playing during the last 48 hours. Can't see it.
3. Scoop is Empire, Yoda is in-game, but cast his vote earlier for another player. Not too likely, unless Yoda mis-played. I would assume that anyone with an overvote knows that it can't be changed during the day and will thus hold it until they're sure of what the play will be. Yoda would wait for the train to start, not try to anticipate it.
4. Yoda is not in game.
5. Scoop is a Rebel.

I miss any possibilities here?
