So if I'm following this, the best way to demonstrate that I'm a villager is to be the opposite of helpful.

No, you are not being helpful if you expose a trap being set to catch a wolf.

Scoop was up to something, his rant and self vote were not his normal MO. I waited him out, but RMC says
Don't you think this might be calculated to see whom does what? Hmmmm......
SO if you are a villager why even warn everyone about this. (But this happens often with innocent villagers so this is not indictment of RMC right now) If you are a wolf you appear to be helpful in standing up for Scoop whom you know to be a villager.

I go back to games with Grundbegriff where he would often lay out an elaborate trap. It would be foolish of me to step up and say, "Oh, I remember Grund doing this in a game last year and it caught a wolf. Let's see if it works this time!"

Ok, I think I got it now. RMC was trying to be 'helpful' in explaining that it might be a ploy by Scoop. Him trying to be 'helpful' illustrates that me may be a wolf. But by exposing a trap being set to catch a wolf, he was in fact not being helpful, which makes him not a wolf. So since he's not a wolf he's just trying to figure things out, which is helpful. So he's a wolf. Which means...

Can I cast a recursive vote?

I think I know what Lassr is trying to get at ...

My only point is all the reactions to my posts were either mild annoyance or silence except for RMC who kind of joked at it.

I just read it that he KNEW I was a innocent villager and was enjoying my performance. Thus he comments were trying to avoid or screw up a trap. I think he was just enjoying himself when pointing out that I might be faking my Hissy Fit to BB. It seemed like he was less puzzled by it and more entertained.

WELL RMC?! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED NOW!!!????!

RMC has played my puppy dog in a past game. I am still vexed about that experience and it might be coloring my judgement too.

Scoop shakes his fists RMC's general direction

After more time to think about it, I see where Scoop is going with RMC.

At the same time, Theohall quickly siding with Scoop there still makes me a bit concerned. More about Theo than I am about Scoop.

So...

So Theo goes after Scoop for the slip, then sides with him. RMC acts helpful, but really deactivates a potential trap. RMC votes Theo, but he is always wrong as a villager. If RMC is a wolf, would he vote for another wolf day one? Maybe. I'm thinking this all day one huey. However, if we don't act on it, it could be a game long distraction.

The one thing I do keep coming back to though, is Theo's taking the easy way. He jumped on Scoop when it looked like the wind was blowing that way, then when the wind started blowing RMC's way, he was quick to jump on that train.

The only one who had blown wind on RMC was Scoop. I just agreed with him and voted because of it. So if that's the wind blowing, I was helping blow it. But make up whatever you desire, instead.

Actually I am entertained. :)

I wondered if you would remember me doing that to you. Worst ploy ever as a wolf, but I was the 'zerker then, so my job was to get lynched. But my little shinanigans following you around then got my lynched and made you look very innocent if I remember correctly. I love playing these games with scoop!!!

<shrug> I can safely say I am not a wolf. I know it. And I have no idea who is safe, and who is not safe, as it is only day one. :)

My simple premise was If you are a villager, you see someone else acting different but you suspect they are just trying to get a reaction from people, why would you step up and say "Hey, he's probably acting weird because he wants to see what reactions he gets." Your post just influenced the "test results" possibly ruining any chance of catching someone in a slip.

Now if you are a wolf, and you see someone acting weird that is NOT a wolf you know they are up to something. SO you are more likely to say, "Hey, don't jump on him, he may be trying to get a reaction from us." It's a post that makes you seem helpful to the one that was acting weird and thus maybe helpful to the village if/when weirdo turns up normal. But in reality you are not helping if said weirdo was really trying to test peoples reactions other than the fact that your reaction then raises an eyebrow.

That's my wolf guesses right now.

Lassr explained RW.
Scoop explained RMC.
bb2112 seemed to be building a straw man argument against me claiming I was just "blowing with the wind" when no one other than Scoop had really said anything significant about RMC and I chose to agree with Scoop.

This could be true as I said somewhere in the many post I made on this subject I see many innocents doing this in the games. So the fact you did it is not an clear indicator that you are a wolf. Hell, I did it in the past, but I try not to do it these days.

You say I am not reading your post but to me it looks more as though you are not paying attention to what you are writing. Your "simple premise was is you are a villager" which I clearly understood which led me to the question of why a villager is worried about odd behavior being a trap or simply being odd behavior. Thus, why my post was NOT a tangent but merely a continuation of your original "simple premise".

I did not attach your comment regarding glancing over posts to be refering to me as we were talking about RMC's actions and I mentally put it down as you saying he was not really looking into things but just glancing them over. Rereading it without the lead in I see how you pretty clearly meant me but I was pretty focused on the first part of the post where you claimed to have said nothing on a subject that I thought you had very clearly brought into play.
