I bought this at a Blockbuster Video for $9.99 back in the 90s. Now that the giveaway is over, I clicked on the link to see how much it goes for. Still $9.99. I've never actually played it, but if that price still holds up, I guess the games do, too!

I have Armada 1, but not the two DLCs. I found the interface a bit clunky and left it to do something else, and kinda never got back to it.

I'm not buying the two DLCs of a game I don't know if I'll like yet, so I'm I'm just going cheap and buy two cheap games: Fire Warrior and I of the Dragon. Can't go wrong for price of less than a Starbucks drink.

I dont know. I thought Starbucks drinks were a kidney and 3 fingers these days. Toss in a cornea and they add sugar.

i own this game like five or six times over by now. from the beginning, i remember having some sort of registration problem with The Witcher in 2009 and Atari (the second French incarnation, not the current shell/holding/licensing outfit) tech support sent me two keys by mistake

Supposedly you can get The Witcher Enhanced Edition free. Im not seeing it but I own it so maybe thats why.

https://www.bluesnews.com/s/217273/get- ... t-for-free

How? Download or update your GOG GALAXY application. Go to the "Recent" view and check the banner at the top. Click the giveaway button if you agree to receive news, updates, and GOG offers. After a while, the game will show up in your games library inside the application and in your GOG.COM collection.

Activision has the publishing rights to Heretic II, so this won't be resolved anytime soon.

i did buy Syberia II and III on GOG today, just so i would have the whole series in one place.

Isometric action shooter, procedural sectors (enter here, shoot things, exit at the other side), each shooter vehicle has a "gimmick" that does change the tactics quite drastically (one's a hovercraft and thus very nimble, another is a tank but can raise its turrets to shoot OVER buildings...). It's a short burst of fun, but I didn't like the mission unlock mechanism.

Still have my old boxed copy. I played the living daylights out of it when it came out. I was awful at it though and just lost all the time. Horrible to watch my little clone pilots burn and melt in their cockpits with their bulging eyes. I never got close to finishing it but man I had fun. Except for the nightmares.

Yeah, it is pretty hard to build up the right force. I think I played on easy and NEVER used chems and basically played as many missions as possible to max out my force before trying the big finale.

The original XIII is currently free to claim. This one still looks quite good if you modify the resolution to modern resolutions and add force anti-aliasing in the control panel.
