Wasn't there a movie on Netflix recently called The Killer? They really need to get a little more creative with their titles...

John Woo has precedence, as it's a remake of his 1989 film.

Finally after way too long the police drama that set the bar for all other police dramas is finally available for streaming.

Homicide Life on the Street

I linked to a NPR article about its return. Also watched the first episode and it still holds up.

My dad always praises Hill Street Blues and claims that was the police drama that started it all.

I haven’t seen either, but if Hill Street Blues is ever streaming somewhere I’ll have to buy my dad a subscription for it.

I'm pretty sure Police Woman with Angie Dickenson was earlier, and Angie was a babe back then. Of course there were others earlier, Adam-12, Dragnet, Mayberry RFD (what, you don't think Don Knotts was a credible cop?)

I am a few episodes into Day of the Jackal and I have to say it is well done. Very British in tone and flavor which I favor over American dross.
Spoiler:
Should not of put a world record sniper kill for our assasin in the first episode. So a bit of fantasy to get past. Hope it is more realistic going forward.
