Doesn't seem 33 years ago..wow. Dude was like 42. Horrible disaster that as i recall could have been avoided. But shit happens in everyone's life. I hope he found peace from it and was able to move on.

You are confusing Role with Duty.
Perhaps so! All I know is we fought 2 wars for the right to not give two fucks about the lot of them.
I figured you'd have a better understanding of why we fought those wars.
I didn't say it was the only reason, did I? But a reason it was.

The Kardashians are America's royal family.
I just saw this comment today. This morning, as some news program was talking about changes with the passing of the Queen, I compared the royal family to the Kardashians and my wife was not at all pleased by my suggestion that they are in any way similar.

I mean, it's true. The only reason the royal family is so famous is because Alfred the Great released a sex tape.

In defense of which family?

If you know anything at all about Alfred the Great, you can appreciate the humor in this.

Rush Limbaugh died, age 70.
Have nothing good to say about him.

Metal Inquisition got a lot of play on my car tape deck back in the day.
I still throw it in the rotation every now and then.

Louise Fletcher has passed away. She played, among many other roles, Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and Kai Winn on Deep Space Nine, has passed away.

I just came to post this.. My wife enjoyed her work. I down right hated her on Deep Space Nine. She was so good at making me hate her lol. RIP. Probably a really nice woman in real life.

Nurse Ratched was one of the all-time best villains. Fletcher had a great career and, it seems, a mostly happy 88 years of life. RIP

Most of her career she seemed to play bad guys. She was a babe in her younger days, like the Exorcist. A fine actress.

Maybe so, but that was Ellen Burstyn in The Exorcist.
Edit: I see she WAS in Exorcist II.

Yeah, she was amazing as Kai Winn. She even managed to elicit some sympathy in a few episodes, but never for very long.

Coolio being dead is another of those deaths that feel weird cause he was young and a big part of my life and times. Not a huge fan but he was around and heard a lot of him.

Yeah, I'd consider him to be one of the defining sounds of the 90's. Gangsta's Paradise came out in 95, which is crazy because it doesn't seem like that long ago. I don't normally like Rap, but there was something musical and melodical about that song that made it cross boundaries. Then again, I do find a lot of that type of music much better from the 90's and earlier on. Now a lot of what you get is sampled from a lot of earlier music, which IMHO feels like cheating. Half the time when I hear that stuff, I'm left wondering what song it's supposed to be, as I don't hear any defining characteristics of their own, and all it does is become super confusing. Sampling a few bars, I don''t mind, but lately I've been hearing whole choruses and riffs being sampled.

Coolio's other big hit was Fantastic Voyage, which heavily sampled the 1980 Fantastic Voyage song by Lakeside.
