Especially after her latest claim that Ivanka and daddy have an "inappropriate" relationship. They really deserve each other. Neither will back down. I can't tell whether this is a hypothetical reaction, or actual words from one of your co-workers.YellowKing wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 10:06 am Trump supporter reaction to that news: "Well, she *is* pretty hot. Can you blame the guy?"
a) Grooming is a thingPaingod wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:07 am While I'm sure Trump wishes he could (based on the man's own comments), there's no percentage in it for Ivanka, so I'm guessing "No"
I agree. Reminds me of my in-laws' relationship with my kids. I know they love them in their own way, but they only come to visit the kids when it's convenient for them. They never offer to keep them or have them come over for a visit.hepcat wrote:Everything in his life is in service to his ego.
Incorrect. There is a long record on how much Trump wants to bang his daughter.hepcat wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 11:03 am I don't thinks he's actually lusting over his daughter.* I think he just sees her as something he "created" and thus is thrilled when she shines. She's symbolizes good genes in his mind. Everything in his life is in service to his ego.
ehhhhhh, that's an extremely charitable view of Trump's comments. The comments are not "isn't she beautiful, my daughter is amazing", aren't I so great for producing such a beautiful daughter. It's 100% "she is so hot I really want to bang her, although even my lizard brain recognizes that unfortunately that would be frowned upon."hepcat wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 11:41 am I never said he wasn't wildly inappropriate in his attempts to puff himself up via his daughter.
Ok, time for an OO smackdown. Come, everyone, to see the DEBATE OF THE CENTURY, between:hepcat wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:36 pm Oh, don't get me wrong. He's still a lecherous, creepy waste of human flesh that should have been put in prison for his real estate and fake college scams ages ago.
Far too verbose to be real. My money's on that El Guapo guy. He's a rising star on the internet debate stage with his recent posting "Episode 3 of season 1 of Misfits of Science* is a landmark piece of televised Science Fiction, and here's why!" and the follow up reply to those who questioned him, "You're not a true Misfitter!"El Guapo wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:50 pmOk, time for an OO smackdown. Hepcat, presenting; "Donald Trump is a lecherous, creepy waste of human flesh that should have been put in prison for his real estate and fake college scams ages ago."
VERSUS
El Guapo, presenting: "Donald Trump is a lecherous, creepy waste of human flesh that should have been put in prison for his real estate and fake college scams ages ago, AND he clearly wants to bang his daughter."
We could do a whole debate series. "Topic 2 - Paste Pot Pete movie - Awesome Idea, or Awesomest Idea?"hepcat wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 1:05 pmMy money's on that El Guapo guy. *I've decided I'm going to try to work Misfits of Science into as many posts as I can now. Although I might switch it up with the occasional reference to Manimal.
In 2018, we've completely thrown out the concept of the President being someone that acts with dignity and is a technically good role model for the nation's youth. Bill Clinton's cigar is rolling in its humidor.YellowKing wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 1:10 pm Let's just pause and reflect on the fact that in 2018, the idea that the President wants to bang his own daughter is a feasible proposition.
Worse, he has openly admitted to wanting to bang his daughter and everyone seems fine with it, as long as there's no irrefutable evidence that he actually did. And if there turns out to be, well we'll cross that particular bridge over denial when we get to it.YellowKing wrote: Wed Aug 15, 2018 1:10 pm Let's just pause and reflect on the fact that in 2018, the idea that the President wants to bang his own daughter is a feasible proposition.

JFC.
The ceremony is said to be largely inspired by Trump's front-row seat at France's Bastille Day military parade in Paris.
In September, Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron and recalled how much he enjoyed watching the parade. "It was a tremendous day, and to a large extent because of what I witnessed, we may do something like that on July 4 in Washington down Pennsylvania Avenue," Trump said.
"We're going to have to try to top it, but we have a lot of planes going over and a lot of military might, and it was really a beautiful thing to see, and representatives from different wars and different uniforms," he added.
National security adviser John Bolton, who to his credit tried to prevent the disastrous one-on-one meeting between Kim and Trump, inadvertently (or not) let on that North Korea hasn’t done much of anything. In a Fox News interview (the most dangerous interviews are often on friendly turf), Bolton acknowledged: “The United States has lived up to the Singapore declaration. It’s just North Korea that has not taken the steps we feel are necessary to denuclearize.” Translation: So far it looks as though Trump was snookered.

Are troops being paid more for TDY than they would to sit in a barracks? Do the cost of the aircraft go up for a parade? Etc...The $92 million cost estimate includes security, transportation of parade assets, aircraft, as well as temporary duty, or TDY, for troops. The official also noted that while the size and scope of the military parade can still shift, the plans currently include approximately eight tanks, as well as other armored vehicles, including Bradleys, Strykers and M113s.
Yeah, they are paid more. They get per diem pay even if they care active, plus transportation and lodging costs.LordMortis wrote: Thu Aug 16, 2018 2:04 pm I don't support the parade. In fact, I'm angered by it, but numbers without context don't mean much to me.

It's like saying you have a rescue team, that you pay no matter what and they train and use resources no matter what. If that takes $50,000 a day to maintain no matter what, it seems disingenuous to say the rescue took two weeks and cost over a million dollars, when $700,000 was going to spent on the rescue team whether they were rescuing or not.
Generally, civilians are paid more for TDY. First, they get paid what they normally get paid. They also get paid travel expenses, including flights, hotels, and per diem. Now, that can be different for military. But I’ve been on TDY and encountered hundreds of soldiers on TDY. They didn’t travel on military aircraft that were already going to the new duty station (they flew commercial). They didn’t stay in barracks (they stayed on post in a real hotel). And I’m presuming that based on how they arranged travel, there was a per diem involved.LordMortis wrote:Are troops being paid more for TDY than they would to sit in a barracks?
