Re: Star Wars WW - Day 5
This is the other thing that makes me suspicious of RMC. The rebels would just want to vote off RMC very quickly and move on - he's already doomed, they don't want to risk a shot if they can put it off, and wouldn't want a long discussion that could root out rebels. So KK...drops in, puts in a quick RMC vote, then falls back on the old "hey, I'm empire, don't lynch me, but I won't bother to defend myself" routine.theohall wrote:Concur with shooting someone, then lynching RMC. Do not intend to vote until someone is shot or it is clear no one will shoot.

They both have certainly earned a shot passively... but KK has now just about earned a shot actively as well.El Guapo wrote:In terms of shot - why KK and not Grund?
I'm honestly baffled by Grund's abscense in this Forum Game. It's not very fun.
I completey predicted KK's abscense.

My hope is Grund comes out and shoots him both proving Grund and removing the need to doubt kk. My fear is that proner died because the rebels have a scanner whom already would have scanned silent Grund before scanning proner and would have killed him if he had a killer role and now that I've vocalized this fear it really puts Grund back at the tippy top of my list even above Bubbles.Unagi wrote:They both have certainly earned a shot passively... but KK has now just about earned a shot actively as well.El Guapo wrote:In terms of shot - why KK and not Grund?

Re: Star Wars WW - Day 5
Well, I was going to say that I'd prefer Grund be shot before KK (in response to Unagi's post way back mentioning shooting one of them). Then KK made those 2 odd posts and I find I'm pretty evenly split only leaning a tiny bit Grund's way.
Qantaga was R2D2.
and some speculation as to why we all lived (all being Unagi, El Guapo, and myself)...
El Guapo - expect he would be the last of the three of us anyway.
Unagi - there is no Luke in the game and thus he is no different than El Guapo.
Me - they knew there was nothing for me to learn between scanning Lassr or Qantaga so figured why bother.
When was the last time we heard from Grund in this thread?

Assuming that a shooter doesn't come forth (which unfortunately is probably the case), I'm a little puzzled about how to proceed on Grund. Do we push him to the brink? If we're ultimately planning on lynching RMC first anyhow, that seems like an idle threat that would be of little value. Do we go through on lynching him?
We have the bird in the hand with RMC, so I guess we go with him, but it's annoying to just keep kicking the can down the road with Grund.

If there's no shot.. and it sure seems like there isn't, we lynch RMC. We know that moves the balance in our favor. An unknown is, well, unknown and could shift things the other way.
We know(from memory) these are dead or soon to die:
R2
Lando
Leia
Han
What's left (2-4 of):
Luke
Obi-Wan
Chewbacca
Yoda
Karrde
Now I don't remember my point...

I think the point was that we lynch RMC today regardless of what else we do so running anyone else up the flag pole is a waste of time.

he was playing very aggressively (in my eyes) like he had nothing to lose or no fear. I mentioned this for why I thought he might be a bad guy (home team wouldn't lynch him) but since he died last night he must have been good... Greedo maybe? How many provable roles left were there?Unagi wrote:I can't see any value in sitting on that information, Semaj.Semaj wrote:I have a guess.

if not talon scanned him and he was someone important that way...
I mean... obviously he was someone important enough to kill over a provable.

for both game and meta reasons. Silent players aren't helping. RMC isn't going anywhere (this time) and he's a guaranteed hit if we're hard up against a perceived loss barrier.

We could be at the perceived loss barrier at any moment. While it'd better to have a not neutered rebel, it's good enough to have a certain rebel.Isgrimnur wrote: kenetickid

13 players
4 probable rebels
5 with possible mara
If mara then rebels have a shot but also have Luke.
If chewie then rebels have a shot.
If Yoda then rebels have an overvote.
Proabable Talon, given that Pr0ner is dead and was unknown.
Lando
So the worst probable scenario is Luke, Talon, Chewie, Lando, and Mara.
if kill innocent today and lose empire tonight. Tomorrow = 11 players. A vote goes on Chewie, who is say KK or Grund, Chewie rends. 10 players. Mara shoots 9 players. 5 Rebels to 4 empire. According to the living shooter rule adendum, we'd need both Ruhk and Greedo to still be alive and still shootable at that point to win.
Even with the game being as nearly flawless as it has been and with the Unagi shot from the Dark side, getting early R2 and Leia abilities knocked out, the empire has had it's back to the wall since day one.

Regardless of the barrier or not we take down the known Rebel first. No point in taking the risk of hitting a barrier when we can be certain of hitting a Rebel.

Re: Star Wars WW - Day 5
RMC sat dejectedly at the table. Nobody would even let him go to the bathroom for fear of him disappearing again. It was an uncomfortable long day. Finally seeing that nobody was going to step forward and shoot RMC in the face today, the group decides it is time to do a vote. El Guapo tallies the votes again, “Yep, we have seven. We can go ahead and kill this Rebel scum.”
Everyone turns to Unagi. Unagi stands up and points at RMC. “Are you the Rebel we are looking for?”
Before RMC can catch himself, everyone hears him say, “Yes. Yes, I am the Rebel you are looking for.”
“Tell me the names of your Rebel friends?” Unagi continues.
RMC just stares at him. “You may have used your mind trick on me once when I wasn’t expecting it, but you will never get me to give up my Rebel friend.”
“Ah, so you do still have at least one Rebel friend. It is good to know you are not weak minded,” Unagi mocked. He then slowly raises his hand and RMC elevates off the floor. At the same time, all too familiar choking sounds are emanating from the back of RMC’s throat. Unagi tosses RMC’s body aside.
“Clean up that mess,” Unagi says to no one in particular and storms out of the room.

Boba Fett: Who will you protect (once per game)? If successful, you get a free scan the next day.
Grand Admiral Thrawn: Who is worthy of your protection tonight?
Grand Moff Tarkin: Who of the deceased will you scan to learn their true identity?
Han Solo: Will you initiate a block? If so on who?
Rebels: Who will you kill?
Jabba the Hutt: Did you help lynch Solo? If so, then you get a free scan. You will be notified by PM from the moderator.
Emperor: Who will you scan to discern their identity?
Luke Skywalker: Who will you scan for Vader or Mara?
Vader: Who will you scan for Luke?

Obi Wan Kenobi: Who of the deceased will you scan to learn their true identity?

Re: Star Wars WW - Day 5
He previously revealed his first two scans (of RMC and Newcastle, neither of which came up Luke of course). But yeah, it would be good to know your later scans, Unagi.LordMortis wrote:Unagi, assuming that you are dead before morning (no offense), can you tell us who your Luke scans have been (before you submit the new one if we go to night before you return) or did you post this already and I miss it?

I mentioned earlier that I had scanned Newcastle and RMC.LordMortis wrote:Unagi, assuming that you are dead before morning (no offense), can you tell us who your Luke scans have been (before you submit the new one if we go to night before you return) or did you post this already and I miss it?
I've since scanned 2 others.... and, well - here is my hesitation on sharing:
I think you all may be inclined to pass over people that aren't Luke, looking for Luke - and I think that would be a mistake.
If I tell you all who isn't Luke - I've empowered you all to act on who isn't a certain Rebel who may not even be in the game.
Now, a number of you may take the knowledge and just sorta put it in your back-pocket (great!) ... Others may be misguided by it....
So, I've been torn on sharing that.
I'm open to being convinced...

If you tell us I'll send you a nice a frisky ewok girl from Endor.

For me, I'd absolutely use it in the ways you seem to be leery about. Statistically Luke is in the game even I really really hope he's not. At the same time, while letting it heavily influence me, I wouldn't let it blind me. Luke IMO would be our highest priority find, but my mind is made up cutting off chaff without better cause. I'm already committed to Grund tomorrow in my mind and in my writing. While that could change, short of weeklong lynch stalemate, I'd be impressed if it does.Unagi wrote:I mentioned earlier that I had scanned Newcastle and RMC.LordMortis wrote:Unagi, assuming that you are dead before morning (no offense), can you tell us who your Luke scans have been (before you submit the new one if we go to night before you return) or did you post this already and I miss it?

Oh, and quite frankly, given your track record, I would also take into account your sincere belief that each player you scanned was someone you believed to be playing rebelliously as well as being Luke.

eh, I could probably guess anyhow. Obviously you haven't found Luke, since you would share that information if so. I think you've done two scans - probably Bubbles and Grund I would guess. So probably neither of them is Luke.
But that does raise the question of how useful that information is, since it doesn't really say much about rebelitude (well, maybe makes it marginally less likely, but still not all that helpful).
