Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Trump cabinet. Now - assign a post to each of them.
Palin is the most high-profile Republican to endorse Trump so far. Other noteworthy endorsements include Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Ann Coulter, Ted Nugent, Phyllis Schlafly, Gary Busey, Hulk Hogan, Tila Tequila and Dennis Rodman.

We need to figure out how to create an alternate universe, or like a Matrix-esque universe in a computer. I would *love* to see a President Trump with Secretary of State Rodman, Secretary of Education Tequila, Secretary of Health and Human Services Hogan, etc., and watch how that plays out. That would be far too dangerous to do in our universe, of course, so we need to create an alternate universe to see it play out.

Really the ultimate reality show.

Apparently Glenn Beck will buck the trend and endorse Ted Cruz.

With all of this craziness on display, I propose we halt this campaign until we can figure out what's going on.

By insulting voters who support a candidate that he doesn't like and dismissing them as insignificant "in the overall course of humanity" (what an arrogant prat), Mr Wilson provides a certain insight into how the party arrived in its current situation. If I was a GOP voter who was on the fence, something like this is just what I'd need to push me into the "burn it to the ground and see what grows in its place" camp.

And moments after Sarah Palin spoke up for Trump, reminding us that a godless heathen was in the White House leading America away from its Christian values, her son was arrested for beating on his girlfriend and waving around a gun while drunk. I love these hypocrites. First, Bristol Palin screams about abstinence and family values...while dropping two kids out of wedlock, and now her oldest son is beating on women while drunkenly brandishing guns.

When will these vermin crawl back into the woodwork? They really are just horrid, horrible people.

Ok, so he was drunk. I'll give you that. But even in his stupor he upheld the Palin family name. Guns and "traditional values" are Palin family standbys. No hypocrisy there.

I think it's deeper than that. To whom do you think the typical American can relate to? Mitt Romney? Hillary Clinton? No - sadly, it's likely Sarah Palin. I'd consider my extended family (at least my side) pretty normal but late last year I had a cousin pull a gun on her husband and threaten to kill him. Sadly, Palin and her clan are likely more representative of 'merica than we'd care to admit.

Not only that, but spousal abuse is an inherited trait, passed down from generation to generation. Who knows what went in the Palin household when the kid (Trap? Trigger? Twinkie? Whatever) was growing up.

Politico
Sarah Palin addressed the “elephant in the room” at a Tulsa, Oklahoma, rally for Donald Trump on Wednesday, linking her son Track’s recent arrest on domestic violence charges to President Barack Obama’s neglect of veterans.

“I can talk personally about this. I guess it’s kind of the elephant in the room — because my own family, going through what we’re going through today with my son, a combat vet having served in a Stryker brigade fighting for you all, America, in the war zone. But my son, like so many others, they come back a bit different. They come back hardened,” Palin said.

Palin’s son Track, who served in Iraq, was arrested Monday night at the Palin family’s Wasilla, Alaska, residence on domestic violence charges after a fight with his girlfriend, who said he had threatened to kill himself with an AR-15 rifle.

“They come back wondering if there is that respect for what their fellow soldiers and airmen and every other member of the military have given so sacrificially to this country, and that starts at the top,” she continued, touting Trump as the best choice for president. “It’s a shame that our military personnel even have to question, have to wonder if they’re respected anymore. It starts from the top. The question, though, it comes from the top, the question, though, that comes from our own president where they have to look at him and wonder, ‘Do you know what we go through? Do you know what we’re trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us?’”

“So when my own son is going through what he goes through coming back, I can certainly relate with other families who kind of feel these ramifications of PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with, and it makes me realize more than ever, it is now or never for the sake of America’s finest that we’ll have that commander in chief who will respect them and honor them,” she said.
Because PTSD is all about questioning the respect and worthiness of society and not the psychological trauma of warfare.

What was that thing about not politicizing a politician's kids? Oh, and I'm sure that draft-deferring Trump knows all about the struggles of military families.

It is true that our vets are underserved and are just another can we've been kicking down the road. But it took her son being a victim to care. From what I understand, she gave a great speech about it in early 2015 (no sarcasm there). I would have thought she would have had the respect to not politicize her own son's incident so ruthlessly.

And tying it to the Trump campaign, well I guess she's still just a shill.

Bob Dole, the former Kansas senator and 1996 Republican presidential nominee, has never been fond of Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. But in an interview Wednesday, Mr. Dole said that the party would suffer “cataclysmic” and “wholesale losses” if Mr. Cruz was the nominee, and that Donald J. Trump would fare better.

“I question his allegiance to the party,” Mr. Dole said of Mr. Cruz. “I don’t know how often you’ve heard him say the word ‘Republican’ — not very often.” Instead, Mr. Cruz uses the word “conservative,” Mr. Dole said, before offering up a different word for Mr. Cruz: “extremist.”

“I don’t know how he’s going to deal with Congress,” he said. “Nobody likes him.”

But Mr. Dole said he thought Mr. Trump could “probably work with Congress, because he’s, you know, he’s got the right personality and he’s kind of a deal-maker.”

OtOH, maybe Congress should be run like Trump's TV show. "OK we have two teams playing for $100,000,000 pork for their state and/or lobbyists. The losing team will lose a seat in congress. This week's challenge: Rewrite the tax code to close as many loopholes as possible, have our budget be smaller than collection, and make sure that people salaried at $30,000 a year still make a minimally self sufficient wage."

I see your Bob Dole and I raise you a Ron Paul

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... inee.html#
That isn't to say that Ron Paul was unsympathetic to his son's plight. He told host Steve Malzberg that as he learned in 2012, the system is rigged. "[Rand] has a different position on civil liberty and the war on drugs and Fox [said]: 'No way, we're not going to have you out there. We're going to find a way to exclude you.' So they excluded Rand Paul," he said of the last debate (which Rand actually chose to boycott). "And they're in a tizzy now, the Republican Party, because they got to change the rules again because we certainly don't want to help Trump. It is a very unfair system. The political system is very corrupt."
