It's the advantage I have being married to an income tax expert , I haven't had to think about it at all for the last 45 years.

Tax return this year is going toward a trip to St Lucia.

Fun. I've always wanted to stay at the Jade Mountain Resort but that's probably out of my price range.

None of the several Caribbean cruises that we've taken have ever stopped at St Lucia and after our Alaska cruise, Mexico trip, and then Caribbean cruise in Feb 2026, we will probably curtail our traveling while we pay down all of our bills prior to my planned retirement in 2032.
We want to go into retirement with zero debt. It won't happen because we won't be able to pay off the house or the remodel bill before then but I'd like to get everything else down to zero.

I really need to get started on mine, but I got very little in the way of mail, so I need to research everything and download online. It's a pain in the ass. And I have to do my Uber expenses, which is also time consuming. I've not had a day off since mid-January, and when I get home in the evening I'm just not in the frame of mind to deal with this.
