All that I was trying to get across is that I would expect her default public expression under these circumstances to be a smile no matter how miserable she might feel. I don't know what demons she may or may not be dealing with (she knew what she was getting into when she married him, so while my sympathy is extant, it is also limited), but it just seems odd to me that she is allowing herself to look so unhappy when she knows there are a bajillion pairs of eyes on her at that point in time. It's unprofessional.

The image is being used as part of the narrative that Trump is a cad who shows no respect for his wife, in contrast with Obama's gentlemanly behaviour.

The counter-narrative is that Trump is an alpha male while Obama is a beta cuck.

Something is cockeyed. The two original photos she posted are not the same image. Look at the coat. Look at the Marine's face. The gif comparing them doesn't seem to use the one she claimed was the original at all.

The problem is that every time we breathlessly talk about things like this, it takes away from real issues. There's enough going on that we don't need to look for fake issues. When they're debunked, it's just more grist for the #fakenews objectors.

Don't jump too quickly to make fun. For every 1 time you get it wrong, it gives these fucking idiots who voted for Trump ammunition for at least 3 days. Anything that happens in the meantime gets excused.

Fake, but as stated, plausible. Particularly when you take into account his past obsession with it. And his comments to the National Park Service regarding the size of the inauguration.

"He'll send me pictures, tear sheets from magazines, and he did it as recently as April. With a gold sharpie, he'll circle his fingers and in his handwriting say, see, not so short. And this April when he sent me one, I should have held onto the thing. But I sent it right back by messenger with a note stapled at the top saying, actually, quite short.
