This seems like a good opportunity for all of us to switch our politics diametrically, at least for a little while. It would be fun!Kraken wrote:Let's pause to welcome Wilhelm to our cesspool. Warren Buffet. But then he always was.hepcat wrote:Trump's campaign is full of losers. Manafort managed to only get 12 million for under the table deals and shady acts with the Kremlin. The Clintons made a hell of a better deal with their shakedowns. NOW who's the better businessman?

I don't understand why there is no call for Clinton to release her health records since something is clearly wrong with her? Parkinson's, or something of it's ilk.Zarathud wrote:And how much did Trump give? Oh wait, he still hasn't released any tax returns!
Your boy is on to trashing the media now. If you're going to parrot every one of his idiotic non-issues, at least try to keep up.em2nought wrote:I don't understand why there is no call for Clinton to release her health records since something is clearly wrong with her? Did he already question her health? I think I'm ahead actually since I've known the media was totally jaundiced from the start.tgb wrote:Your boy is on to trashing the media now. There's no call because she has already released them. She was the first Presidential candidate to do so last year.em2nought wrote: I don't understand why there is no call for Clinton to release her health records since something is clearly wrong with her?

Yes, what a valid concern. The people should know if a candidate has a health condition. Who could argue with that?em2nought wrote:I don't understand why there is no call for Clinton to release her health records since something is clearly wrong with her? My Boy Scout Troop requires that we update our health information at least once a year. It's probably a good thing to do for Mrs. Clinton as well! I worry about her. Did you see her having trouble climbing those stairs the other day?YellowKing wrote:There's no call because she has already released them. But in 2008 Obama told me that "She will say anything and change nothing. Hillary can't be trusted and isn't qualified to be President."hepcat wrote:Yeah, she suffers from an incurable condition called competence. Fortunately, Trump is immune to it.

No joke. The current President of the United States and the leader of a 'movement' within the Democratic Party both said that Hillary was unqualified to be President. I think Trump did too, but don't quote me on that.hepcat wrote:Sorry, I was waiting for the joke. You're really committed to trying to frame your reply as a serious attempt at political discourse instead of a sarcastic rebuttal to my sarcastic rebuttal to a sarcastic post, aren't ya?Smutly wrote:No joke. True. She, however, SHOULD release it if there is nothing to show so we can all breath easier. Much like Donald Trump SHOULD release his tax returns. But financial privacy still exists and he is not required to by law.YellowKing wrote:Health information is one of the most protected pieces of personal information out there, and politicians are just as protected as everyone else. And no, tripping up stairs does not constitute "life threatening condition."
You can assume I'm not really asking you to account for those two politicians' statements by your not responding at all. I'm okay with that.hepcat wrote:You're really committed to trying to frame your reply as a serious attempt at political discourse instead of a sarcastic rebuttal to my sarcastic rebuttal to a sarcastic post, aren't ya?Smutly wrote:No joke. Technically both of them were running against her at the time. Contrast that with Republicans who can't stop dissing Drumpf even after he got the nomination. Except for Jersey Fats. You're creating a false equivalency between tax records and health records. I'm not saying that they shouldn't both release both (I think there is value in knowing the health information of candidates to lead the free world), but this is a silly comparison you're making. Your desire for Hillary to release her health records should stand on its own merits, and not on some strange correlation between health records and tax filings.Smutly wrote:True. I'm okay with her not providing health information if you're okay with him not providing tax returns. Or I'm okay if they both do. You pick.
WHAT'S FALSE: Barack Obama didn't say that Hillary Clinton could not be trusted or that she was not qualified for president.Smutly wrote: But in 2008 Obama told me that "She will say anything and change nothing. Hillary can't be trusted and isn't qualified to be President."
And he walked it back a few days later because people didn't buy it.And in April of this year, Bernie Sanders said that Hillary isn't qualified either!
There are definitely Republicans who are angry at Trump for hi-jacking their party and are voicing their dissent.Jaymann wrote:Technically both of them were running against her at the time. You've already intimated that your goal is to bring balance to the force around here through acts of asshattery equal to those you believe are being committed by liberals/democrats/people who you disagree with. So my assumption was based on that.Smutly wrote: You can assume I'm not really asking you to account for those two politicians' statements by your not responding at all. I'm okay with that.

The correlation I am drawing is not between those two records. The correlation is between political leanings and selective demanding one from one candidate and not the other. I'm glad we agree they both stand on their own merits.ImLawBoy wrote:You're creating a false equivalency between tax records and health records. Hmm... correlation. R^2=100%Zarathud wrote:You're not fooling anyone.
You're the one who said YK should choose whether they both had to release both sets of records or neither. Disagreed. The public deserves to know of any health concerns that are likely to affect a potential president's ability to do their job, whether it's visible or not (issues that wouldn't affect their ability should remain private).Zarathud wrote:Anyone who can handle the grueling schedule to run for President is healthy enough.
