Day 5 - Lynch

Post by stessier »

The Village was brimming with confidence. A hastily made sign now adorned the gallows - "You can't bake a cake without breaking a few eggs." Everyone was smiling and joking with their neighbors as Lassr and LordMortis led Grundbegriff to the platform. "I regret that I have but one life to give to my town," Grund said as he took his position.

Suddenly a strong wind blew through the square and the sky darkened. The ghosts of lynches passed slowly took their places at the foot of the platform and stood in silent vigil. Unfazed by their appearance, Lassr slipped the noose around Grund's neck and said "Quoth the raven - NEVERMORE!" as he pulled the lever.

Grund was dead. As the town watched, his hair slowly continued to grow throughout the day. At sunset, Lassr pulled him down confident the village had finally succeeded in eliminating it's lycanthropic scourge when he saw something underneath his shirt. Pulling up the plaid work-shirt revealed a t-shirt proclaiming the wonders of the new Grecian hair growth formula for men. Chortling, the apparitions vanished.

Grundbegriff was a Villager!

Werewolves - who looks tasty?

Edit: Deadline for orders is Monday, July 8th at 11am Eastern. Daybreak will not occur before Wednesday, July 3rd at 7pm Eastern.
Note - I'm messing with the deadline times a bit on the short side so we can try to start another Day before the holiday. If there are any complaints/concerns, just let me know.

Not I.

I'd like to test Unagi next. Everyone wanted to test Grund so that is where we went. It wasn't a bad lynch though as now we no longer have to guess Grund's alignment.

Lassr, what makes me feel best (about you) is that you 'want to test me next', because it is indeed still early "enough" - and I'd like to think you would think this wouldn't serve you well as a wolf. But clearly the wolf would love for me to be lynched, and I feel like you just keep drumming it up.

I think RMC is our best test, still.

Brakes on purge, if he could - but it didn't work out.

I'm ok with voting, but the seance should be saved. The cabal will be around to answer the NC issue. I don't trust Remus. The only good Remus is a dead one.
If the seer is not remus then they are likely alive. this simplifies their job. if Remuswolf manages to kill one player in a false lynch, the game is big enough, and they are at such a disadvantage that we can afford it for the seer to scan tonight and possibly even tomorrow night before revealing.
If remus is the seer, we can look forward to him leading us to failure.

One of the first substancial posts from Purge. Looking back, there is a whole lot of bad in this post. (20/20 hindsight and all that). Remus wouldn't spoof a role that could be disproven (come forward and disprove it seer!), but he doesn't trust Remus, but the seer should stay hidden for a while longer. The seance stuff is good and what the village should be thinking (IMO). This could be a real villager talking, but could also easily be a wolf supporting Remus's move.
Actually I think this is a great point, and since we have time

So do you still think that Vorret is the best candidate? (Just going on where your vote is. :)

The vote was actually like this at the time:
Against Scoop (5) - RMC, pr0ner, El Guapo, bb2112, Vorret
Against El Guapo (4) - redrun, Lagom LIte, theohall, Grundbegriff
Against bb2112 (4) - LordMortis, Unagi, Lassr, Chaosraven
Against trig (1) - Scoop20906

He's appealing to people, and he squirmed all over the purge vote.

RMC is still my top test candidate - I'm in flux with the others at this point.

Simply goes back to my wild ass guess. What if Remus had 2 wolves and 1 villager in his scans in a sort of Hail Mary move.

Oh - whatever. lol - it's just stupid, IMO, sorry. Maybe it's just because I know what I am, but I just don't see why it's even a wild ass guess.

Why was Remus doing a 'hail mary' at that point, and why would I demand purge when most people seemed to push away from the idea of purge.

Anyhow, I think it's stupid - if others think it's worth testing, now is certainly better than later.

And, I think it's Vorret's intersection with your wild ass guess that catches my eye the most. He has always seemed eager to follow through with it.

Dawn of Day 6

Post by stessier »

The Dawn came quickly and with it, another fated death. Lagom Lite finally finished his journey to the Light.

Who would the gallows claim today?

Villagers - Who will you lynch today?
Hunter - on whom will you pass your judgement?
Medium - with whom will you speak?

And today is as good as any to take me down. I'm still fine with exiting the conversation at this point. I still don't feel like my guesses are good. And I don't think yesterday told me much.

I figure I could convinced to vote for anyone but pr0ner. He's played masterfully if he's a wolf. Going back to day 1, I mull it over and I can't see him voting the way he did with the motivations he had before redrun/LL qantaga/bb2112/remus play. If he's a wolf and the wolves win, he gets the MVP for sure.

LordMortis
Lassr
RMC
Vorret
Scoop
Unagi

...

pr0ner

Happiest votes would be on RMC or Lassr with vorret coming a close third. I'll stick with my vote from yesterday for now.

I see that as RMC being RMC. For a wolf he is being quite careless. I don't think it is RMC although as I have said he has some very wolfish posts. I guess it wouldn't be the first time a wolf was careless and got caught but I just don't feel that is the case here.

But if everyone feels he is worth a test then so be it. I have no credibility to sway a vote.
