I did not complete all of the sidequests but I finished the DLC main story. The main path was shockingly short. Once you start it they make it seem like it all urgent so I just focused the main quest and completed it in a jest a few hours. The story was somewhat interesting but they force your hand in a couple places (like the very first thing you do when you reach the planet and you are given no real choice) that I did not like. I was hoping for more out of the main story. It didn't go where I was hoping so I was left disappointed.

I must say, I was surprised my lovely wife, Andreja, didn't have more to say. They gave her a few things but given where the DLC takes place I expected a lot more out of her and for there to be some side content specifically for her.

The action was more frantic which was nice given how easy most everything else has been for me. I didn't even bother modifying a weapon in this whole run. There just wasn't any need (until the very last DLC mission anyway, that one kind of hurt).
I just finished the DLC as well and my thoughts are pretty much the same. The main story had promise but in the end it was too short and a bit of a let down. This DLC could have been great too since the switch to a custom built world with lots of places to explore and NPC sidequests was so much better than the rest of Starfield. In the end I would give this DLC a C+ and I hope Bethesda can take what they started with this and make a truely good expansion for the next one.
One other note. I didn't get a single weapon or equipment upgrade throughout the DLC. I switched my melee weapon because it seemed like a thing to do but barely used it and mostly missed the kickass Wakizashi I had. None of the guns came close to replacing my random drop beowulf.

Here's a guide on how to get the best new armor in the shattered space expansion. I personally didn't find this quest, but I will probably hop back in and get it. https://www.si.com/videogames/guides/st ... %20obtain.

So this armor quest is a perfect example of how Shattered Space is 2 steps forward 1 step back. They go to the trouble of creating new armor and a weapon that are unique and actually worth using, but at the same time they make the method of getting it almost impossible and entirely missable UNLESS you use a walkthrough and then exploits on top of that. Getting the armor literally requires you to a find a camp that spawns in the countryside at a random location (So you have to wonder around the desert aimlessly to even find it), then it requires you to be at that location when a certain NPC just randomly happens to be there. If she's not there then too bad, reload your last save and try again. It's insanely bad design.

This DLC itself had such promise since it is a custom built world that feels a lot more like traditional Bethesda gameplay, BUT they short changed us on the main story and left me wanting a lot more out of it.

Short changing the story is also traditional Bethesda. It's been a big criticism of practically every one of their games since after Morrowind.

Dammit, I don't see anything in that to maintain the sequence.

Meh, the capitalization was unnecessary. That was a job for italics. :coffee:
