I like it, the giants outfield should be Fitzgerald, Ramos and Lee. First base/DH is still a hole, and one of Luciano/Wisely needs to take charge at second.

Don’t be surprised if they sign Alonso.

I'm hoping they do. I'm not sold on the power of the current lineup - they need that one more big bat and probably another starting pitcher.

Obviously I am not a Giants fan but I do probably watch parts of at least half their games on cable TV. Plus I don’t hate them like I did back in the day.

So Soto is reportedly signing a 15 year deal with the Mets for somewhere in the mid $750m range.

I wonder why he wouldn’t have been better off signing 3 five year contracts?

I would think this would trigger a lot of signings.

Wasn’t last year the last year of his contract? Or maybe he has one more year?

Sort of. If everything broke right he could probably maximize money by short term deals. But he would lose money if he suffered some catastrophic injury or otherwise dropped off sooner than expected.

He has an out after 5 years, so it still could be.

The headliner is Kyle Teel, who has gotten quite the buzz lately. But overall it was the Red Sox's 3rd, 4th, 15th, and 17th ranked prospects, IIRC. Boston media at least is describing it as a "steep price", albeit probably worth it.

Yankees fans who mauled Mookie Betts at World Series banned from all MLB stadiums indefinitely
Both were using the seats of a season-ticket holder, who has owned the tickets since 1990 and was not in attendance and will therefore be allowed to keep them.

The season-ticket holder was said to support the decision to prohibit the two fans from attending any more games.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Lol at the use of "mauled" in the Post's headline.
