Zero (as in no) chance of him seeing the inside of a jail cell. It's never going to happen.
This is the only case that will be adjudicated before the election now, right? All others have been delayed or shelved indefinitely?
This was the least serious of the crimes he committed. He won't be held accountable for stealing documents or inciting a riot until after the election, if then.
He didn’t steal documents. He is still the rightful caesar I mean president in his own mind so he isn’t guilty.
As for the riot that was clearly incited by Joe Biden and the democrats because they felt guilty about stealing the election and wanted to put things right. You don’t see republicans going around saying hang mike pence for example. Thats just silly.
Im not sure who's more bottom of the barrel, Joe Piscapo or Chuck Zito.

Zito really is a major scumbag. Piscopo is just an annoying comic who did utter one of the best lines of SNL history as Frank Sinatra meeting George Michaels.
I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool!
I just found it funny he showed up at Trump's trial to support him.

Either way it's embarrassing that they are the best he can do. I mean he couldn't even get Chachi to show up.

Why do they need to make a deep fake when they can just use actual footage?

Donny seems to have very bad gas in court and gets a new nickname for it...
Donald 'Von ShitzInPantz' has now formally been entered into the public record at Trump's hush-money trial.

Holy shit. I'm on the edge of my seat. Although, I'm not sure it really matters all that much . . .
[Edited to add prediction: I think they find him guilty on all counts. I don't think it's a good sign for Trump that the jury reached a verdict this quickly. I thought his best hope was a hung jury, and I think that's what he and his legal team thought, too. I think they may be hosed.]

You're kidding, right?
The saddest thing about this is how happy it is making most of us, when the fact of the matter is, if anything, this will likely propel Trump to the White House. I bet he fundraises to new records tonight off of this. Oh well. What can you do? At least justice has been served to some degree with this verdict.

Justice is served via consequences, not verdicts.

I dont see where you're getting that from. 34 felonies isn't stealing candy from a baby

Honestly, I don't think this helps him. He'll probably get some additional donations from the MAGA faithful out of this, but even on that I suspect a lot of those donations will just be sped up rather than newly generated. If this conviction makes you more likely to vote for Trump in November, you probably already support him.
I do wish I had more faith about it hurting him, though. You figure "convicted felon" is a talking point that will move at least a couple people on the margins, right?

TRUMP GUILTY ON ALL 34 FELONY CHARGES
Sweetest headline I have seen in years. So let me get this straight...a convicted felon cannot vote but can be elected President?

I'm afraid it will move the idiots to eat up his persecution narrative that he's been the target of the Biden administration and that "the country is rigged." Agreed that those idiots wouldn't have voted for Biden, but I'm concerned that it may work to energize Trump's base even more.

Trump was anything but remorseful in his post verdict comments, calling the judge and trial corrupt. That will not serve him well during sentencing. Judges don’t like defendants that continue to assert their innocence after a verdict has been rendered.

Funny that an orange turd who tries to stage an insurrection, steals classified documents, and is caught on tape trying to steal votes in Georgia, is brought down because he boned a sleazy porn star. If nothing else it should embolden juries to find him guilty.

Agree. The MAGAts are 100% in the bag no matter what. Independents and real conservatives, not so much. I won't say it's a decisive edge, but it's surely going to peel off some of his marginal support. And elections are won/lost on the margins.
Of course the big question now is sentencing. The chance that he goes to prison is probably about 0.1%, but it's non-zero!

We know this energizes him and his cultists, but my question is how will the shambling husk of what was the GOP respond? Will *this* be the moment they finally decide to try and shed their MAGA label and do what they can to salvage what's left of the party? Or do they double-down now for the final approach?

Yeah, this was the least consequential of his crimes. Unfortunately none of the more serious ones will be tried before the election. I guess there's still an outside shot that the GA case could begin in the fall?
