At the moment I see no reason to vote somewhere else but I'll hold off on my vote just in case something else develops.
pr0ner DID not specifically say he was the Seer. He would not answer my question indirectly and said 'if you believe me to be who you think I am' (in regards to me thinking he was the Seer).

See my post a few above why I decided that he was not the Seer (though it looks as though it was a mistake).

That's not nice, tru1cy. I provided full disclosure of my exact reasons for voting against pr0ner. It's not my fault that he plays Seer as if it were Sorcerer.

I think we need to vote for either Archenerd or Grundbegriff. Lassr pointed out some interesting flaws in Archnerd's posts. They seem to be a little on the -out-of-context- side, but I'm not sure we have anything else to go on. Let me be clear on this Arch. (not voting yet to avoid a bandwagon) Who contacted who? Did you PM pr0ner first? What were you hoping to accomplish? Why did you think he would trust you? (Or did he PM you?)

Grund logic dictates that we target either you and Archinerd. One of you are most likely a WW. Going off on a wild tangent gets the village nowhere.

Face it, Archinerd's a wolf. The way he voted for pr0ner after pr0ner came out as the Seer. This guy has 'guilty' written all over him. Oh, and he has leftover wolf long-hair still on him. He didn't fully transform back.

After 10:00 central time I will be away from the computer until late tonight.

My vote stays with Archinerd. He's the most obvious choice right now.

Okay, looks like I need to go over this one more time. We'll go through this step by step.

I PM'd pr0ner first. I said that I suspected him of being the Seer because he seemed to trust Grund. Remember, he asked Grund specifically to withdraw his vote. To me, it seemed as though it was possible pr0ner was the Seer, scanned Grund and found him innocent.

pr0ner replied with a question of whether I was a wolf and why should he trust me. And wanted me to outline more specifically why I believed him to be the Seer.

I responed with what I have just written above.

pr0ner then denied that he trusted Grund, and wanted to know if I would vote for him.
At this point, my reason for believing pr0ner was the Seer no longer existed. I thought he had scanned Grund, but apparently not.

Since I no longer thought pr0ner was the Seer, but I did think he was acting odd, I decided he must be wolf, and voted for him.

The end

I get this vibe too. It's actually pushing me a bit toward PR_Gamer though. I know he has voted but I have a gut reaction toward him. Still I'm really trying to avoid going with my gut and that is pushing me toward voting for Arch. I'm still not there yet though. He makes some sense. What if Pr0ner just really messed up his PM's?

No doubt this could be the case but as I've seen in many other games, people ignore the obvious and go in another direction and it comes back to bite them in the rear.

Right now Archinerd seems the obvious choice. with out the seer (I have to assume proner was the seer) then the only way we'll have a "clear" conscious is by lynching him.

I have no better target right now.

Grundbegriff -
Kelric - Archinerd
Lassr - Archinerd
PR_GMR - Archinerd
tru1cy - Archinerd

Here is the current tally as I count it. Next one pushes him over. I'll be that vote, but I'm curious to hear from Grundbegriff, Bakhtosh and Cesare first. Bakhtosh seems quiet but in fairness he isn't posting at all. Grund has defended himself but I haven't seen much from him in where he thinks we should go. Cesare mentioned that he'w worried the wolves are hiding and not voting. He has not voted or said much either though.

Cesare? Grund? Any opinion before Arch goes to the noose?

So, I've been watching this game pretty closely and I agree that lacking any other specials, Archinerd is our best vote. However, I already voted for an innocent and in the interest of full disclosure, I'll also admit Ralph-Wiggum was one of my other suspects. So, my track record isn't great. I've hesitated to vote for Archinerd because another wrong vote shoots me to the top of the suspect list... of course, if he ends up being guilty then I'm fucked anyway, so I'm going to go ahead and vote Archinerd. At least I'm not a middle-of-the-packer this time.

I find Archinerd's story plausible, but plausibility =! innocence. As for other suspects.. Kelric has been quiet but was quick to vote for Archinerd. IF Archinerd is innocent, that's a point of interest for me. Austin's a suspect for the same reason I am, a quick vote for pr0ner in the middle of the pack, although I very strongly believe at least one wolf didn't vote for pr0ner. Grund does seem relatively quiet this game, but I'm not sure if that's any sort of hint because I doubt he'd change his posting style based on his role. Bahktosh is always quiet but almost always votes, so we'll just have to refer back to his record later, since we have no other way of discerning anything. The fact that everyone else is flying under my radar puts them on my radar. I'm watching all of you...

Well that's that then. I'll re-throw my Archinerd on the pyre. It's mostly symbolic at this point I guess, but in a game where votes can be retracted, it still matters slightly.

Just to draw attention to it. At this time he's my top suspect.
I'll put a vote in for him just for the record.

Vote PR_GMR

edit; I should add that I'm voting for him because he said 'he voted for pr0ner after pr0ner came out as the Seer.' That's just not true, but nobody believes me anyway.

Usually when the crowd chanted his name it was after he had won the log toss or the river run. Today it was different. Today the chant held malice at its heart. Archinerd. Archinerd. Archinerd. Archinerd. Archinerd. They would not listen to his explanations. They cared not for his thoughts. They called him liar. They called him wolf. When they shoved him over the edge of the well noone was shocked by the loud crack. No, when it came a primeval shout of joyous revenge drowned out its echo. Quickly they pulled him up from the depth and layed him on the ground, eager to watch the transformation. They saw nothing. Just a fallen human sacrificed to their fears.

Archinerd was HUMAN

When he lay down on his pallet that night he never actually figured he would manage to sleep. He spent some time laying there with his eyes open starting to every creak of the trees in the wind. When she lay down next to him he did not even realize he had fallen asleep. He ran his fingers through her soft hair as her warm breath tickled his ear and neck. "Mmm Keely." Kelric mumbled in his sleep. They found him there the next morning when he did not turn up at the well, a strangely happy smile upon his face and his intestines missing entirely.

Now is the time to start looking at Grundbegriff. He has been unusually quiet so far. He has survived until day 3.

I made a comment early in the game about taking our lynching focus away from Grund because I wanted to see how long he would live if the wolves thought we were not going to lynch him. HE has made it to day 3.

With the seer gone and the wolves playing a very stealthy game I think we may be in trouble. Obviously they are giving us no info to go on so far (that I've caught).

So Grundbegriff why have you been quiet? Are you trying to stay alive by not helping the village as much as usual. Odd play if so.

Two impressions, and then I'm going to take a bit of time to catch up more carefully on the thread.

First: I don't think we've played "Who would kill Junior?" yet. So then, who would kill Chris Grenard, Ralph, and Kelric? Why that subset? Why that order?

Second: I'm also confused -- very confused-- about why nobody ever stepped forward claiming to be the person pr0ner had supposedly scanned. He said he had (a) scanned an innocent, and (b) PM'd that innocent to establish a link. I think pr0ner's oddball behavior as Seer(?) or "Seer" skewed everything in such a way that we've been more likely than usual to totally misconstrue what's going on.

If anyone has thoughts about those two issues, I'd find it helpful to hear them. Meanwhile:

I...LIVE!

Sorry folks. Daughter and I are both sick. Dr says I probably don't have strep, but my throat is killing me (I'll find out for sure in a few days when the culture comes back).

I'm beginning to wonder if pr0ner was the person contacted by the seer, and that was why he made that claim, but didn't out his "contact" for obvious reasons. That not only gives the village hope, it throws the wolves off the track and explains why the 1st scan hasn't come forward yet.

I promise to start participating. Being silent only hurts our chances to rid the village of a couple of werewolves.

Damn...all of my suspects are dead. =(

Like others, I'm suspicious of Grund. We know for sure that he's not the seer if my hypothesis above is true.

I know I'm 100% non-special.

That's an awfully short list up there...

I just feel like tru1cy drew the short straw this time...it's based on nothing but instinct.

Here's my suspect list in rough order:

tru1cy -
Grundbegriff -
Lassr -
Austin -
PR_GMR -
Cesare -
Bakhtosh -

I have to go with my gut on this one...for no other reason than it just feels like the right thing to do.
