Yes, last game we should have used fire, the noose is too damn unpredictable it seems. 8-)

Looking back at 2 games where Austin was a wolf I see that he over states numerous times his innocence and brings up being scanned to prove it. He makes connections between posters such as if player A is wolf then he wouldn't be surprised if player B and player C are wolves.

He has not latched onto his innocence in this game so far but he has brought up a scenario earlier where he made connections on who he thought the 3 wolves could be if...

Triggercut is a little suspicious like Remus said and Mr. Bubbles just because he's quiet but that's really not unusual which makes him dangerous.

So I'm sticking with Austin simply because he has shown a few traits that were common in some of his other games where he was the bad guy.

BUT I do agree it's not much to go on right now. Someone give me a better target and I'll consider changing my vote.

I'll say it again. It doesn't scream "wolf" or "innocent", it screams "Oh yeah? How do you like it!?" Personally, I think (especially on day 1) - the retaliatory nature of the vote is unreadable one way or the other.
Remus West wrote:Austin's vote looked to be an attempt to keep his head out of the noose - very wolfish move but also very transparent wolfish move.
This really starts to become one of those "Unless he knows I know he knows that I know he knows, then....." things. You guys all have these rules-of-thumb that apply when and where you want them to, but are meaningless when applied where you don't want them to.

I understand you've drawn some distinction between triggercut and Austin's "retaliatory votes". I accept the differences, however I have trouble jumping to the conclusions you have come to.
Remus West wrote:Maybe I'm giving him to much credit but I think he plays the bad guy much more subtley than that so I can not imagine that being his move if he were. A wolf Austin would have been more likely to try redirecting suspicion away from you and he so that the flow carried the conversation away from him as much as possible.
Errrr, like declaring his attempts to crack "Unagi the Wolf" are finished and we should now focus on Lassr?

The difference between them is simply that Austin has offered more than just the retaliatory votes. Triggercut has ONLY offered retaliatory votes.

As for his behavior, I was speaking more to the immediately after your post count thing rather than what he is doing now. You have a point about the Unagi thing, but maybe he gets what I have been saying about you?

You must be refering to the other game I played, where Grundbegriff was lynched as the Seer on the first day. You really seemed to imply that I led the charge on his lynching. You actually started that vote, and a while later withdrew it, then came back and revoted for him soon again. Only then did I join you and Remus to lynch our Seer, Grundbegriff. :? :x

As I mentioned his vote on the Austin wagon felt wrong to me. If Austin is a wolf I would bet Lassr was playing the "look I helped lynch him" card. If Austin is not a wolf then it looks like he was trying to roll the wagons onward. His switch from no Austin hate to vote just felt forced. Honestly, that move is the biggest stalling block I have in Austin right now as well but since I think it points to Lassr's guilt regardless of Austin's I paced my vote there. Its the best I have to go on right now so I'm thinking I'll keep up with the thread but that my vote is set for this day. If something drastic happens to change it then I will tell right away instead of holding back large chunks of my thinking and waiting for response.

Specifically, Lassr's vote reminded me of mine on Newcastle last game.

I find it hard to believe that 3 wolves have started a railroad against Austin. I know I am innocent, so that would mean Unagi, Pr0ner and Lassr are wolves. The Wolves would rather get the game moving as the more time we discuss this the more of a chance one of them will make a mistake.

I'm really thinking that Austin is now a wolf. If he wasn;t the wolves would have jumped on this vote awhile ago to get the game moving

I cannot know for certain what the wolves plans are but I can guess. They are more than willing to drag this out. They will not railroad an innocent just for the sake of speeding the game up. They will not want have all three vote together if they can help it.

I would also be surprised if there isn't a wolf among the Unagi, Pr0ner, Lassr crowd. They same can pretty much be said of any random group of three from the village so there you go.

Not that it matters, since there's no one that's even really close to being hung. If I have to I'll change my vote, but there's still no one striking me as especially wolf-like.

You've given us 1 meaningful post, and that post was to complain that not enough people are posting meaningful posts.

Also, 4 votes is only 1 vote away from being 'Really close to being hung'... I'd say Austin is actually close to being hung, and it's interesting that you have chosen to totally ignore that. :?

How am I totally ignoring it? By your own admission he isn't really close to being strung up. "Really close to being hung" is 5 votes, not 4. If I was voting for Austin at the moment, we STILL would be on day 1. Thus, at the moment, my vote has no signifigance other than the fact that I have registered a vote (unlike Mr. Bubbles, like usual).

Um, by claiming that 4/6 doesn't actually equate to 'close'.

Actually, I was trying to point out he was pretty darn close... The longer he hangs at 3, and now 4, votes - the more likely we are looking at a vote that the wolves don't really want to be a part of.

Really close, TYVM. Again, if I had voted for Austin from the start, we'd still be in exactly the same place we are now: waiting for someone to get hung. Nothing would have changed. That means the vote isn't close enough to qualify as "Really close to being hung".

You're assuming that the wolves havn't already voted for him, and that for some reason the wolves would dogpile on him if they weren't already voting on him. I don't think I've seen an actual wolf dogpile on day 1 in several months.

Yes. Rabid animals tend to attack everything they see. Which is pretty much what you've been doing. Someone speaks up? You find something desperately wrong with their post.

Only one way to find out. ;) How come pr0ner gives me grief for claiming my innocence and not anyone else? Actually it's like I explain to my wife when she calls me defensive, "I wouldn't be able to be defensive without so many people attacking me". ;)

I do encourage silky, newcastle, zurai, bubbles, triggercut, and misguided pr0ner, to vote Lassr for noose.

This brings me to a question. When do specials come forward? Last game I decided day 2 was ideal but there were fewer people. Howver this game we'll have 3 specials to share - assuming none are dead. Does a seer come out on day 1 if he caught a wolf? Does a priest come out when he finds a dead wolf? I think if the priest finds a dead seer he stays quiet; at least on day 2. If the coroner gets two separate hits I'm leaning toward him coming out Day 2.
