At last! Irrefutable proof of voter fraud: All Chinese look alike.
Edward-Isaac Dovere

“I think Chinese all look alike. How can you tell? If some Chow shows up, you can be anybody and you can vote.” -one of Rudy Giuliani’s witnesses yesterday insisting there must have been voter fraud in Michigan
Yes, it’s an actual quote.

I just threw up a little reading that. I love Michigan so much but there are so many really horrid people here too. Ugh. If we get nothing else out of the Biden presidency I'm really really really wanting to see all the racist ignorant people crawling back under a rock - hopefully for good and hopefully without spreading their ignorance to anyone on their way down. At least any more ones I guess.

It's bad but in context it's not
as bad.
https://twitter.com/IsaacDovere/status/ ... 2193317888
She's obviously of some sort of South Asian ethnicity, complete with 1st generation accent and leads with "A lot people think Indians look alike..."
After the stereotyping, the meat of the "witnessing" was pretty bad. The argument was something akin to "ID needs to be minimum to vote because we can't validate who a person is by looking at them and they could be using someone's else's ID."
Michigan's laws allow you to vote without an ID but you are documented as doing so.
https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-1 ... --,00.html
If your vote was found twice
https://upnorthlive.com/news/local/mich ... g-election
Anyone who votes twice can be found in violation of both state and federal law.
At the state level, if you intentionally vote twice, you could face penalties of four years in prison and a $2,000 fine. Penalties at the federal level include five years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
So pretending to be Chow when Chow actually voted with Chow's ID, would presumably get your vote tossed and open you to a bit of legal problems if caught.

MSNBC is on the background and all morning they are going off on Barr saying there is no evidence of fraud on the scale that matters and they are championing his separation from the president. Why do I feel they are putting their faith in the wrong place. I mean great, reference it, but to make an ongoing all day long continued feature of the day? That feels scary.

And Barr announced some dimwitted "investigation" of the investigators of the 2016 Russian voting influence scandal. Trump criticized him for not launching it just before the election. Barr is no friend of Democracy.

Now up to $207 million. They’re raking in just under $7MM
a day since the election.
There ain’t no way they’re going to do anything to slow down that grift train.

Turns out she (the witness, not Jackson) previously served 12 months probation for committing a computer crime. She's a graduate of ITT Tech. I had no idea they were still around. I got duped into taking some classes there in the late 80s.

Just 10% of the Republicans in the House acknowledge Biden as President-Elect.
Just 25 congressional Republicans acknowledge Joe Biden’s win over President Trump a month after the former vice president’s clear victory of more than 7 million votes nationally and a convincing electoral-vote margin that exactly matched Trump’s 2016 tally.
Two Republicans consider Trump the winner despite all evidence showing otherwise. And another 222 GOP members of the House and Senate — nearly 90 percent of all Republicans serving in Congress — will simply not say who won the election.
Those are the findings of a Washington Post survey of all 249 Republicans in the House and Senate that began the morning after Trump posted a 46-minute video Wednesday evening in which he wrongly claimed he had defeated Biden and leveled wild and unsubstantiated allegations of “corrupt forces” who stole the outcome from the sitting president.

As usual, the GOP’s “flood the zone with shit” strategy combined with the media’s “we have to tell ‘both sides’, no matter how absurd one of those sides is” mantra has turned lots of otherwise rational people into conspiracy theorists over this.
It’s infuriating to see blatant lies and misinformation continually being spread in the name of “fairness”.

Undermining Americans' confidence in our democracy has been a surprisingly inexpensive thing to do. President Trump spent about $8.8 million on it so far, and millions of Americans now believe the lie that the election was rigged

There is certainly plenty of craziness going on, but I wonder....is anyone seeing this in real life, as opposed to on social media?
I ask because I've been reaching out to my Republican friends, and I haven't encountered one of them that buys into any of this crap, much less one who is willing to start shooting. Admittedly, I'm not in the habit of making friends who are literally crazy, but I am in Texas, where you would expect this kind of thing to be rampant.
