Not going to happen for at least another month.

As long as you realize that, you're golden. I spent some time years ago chasing the past, always trying to relive the feeling I had in a time and place. Luckily I learned that the time and place were part of the memories, and can never be recreated. I can enjoy the memories, but I can never have those experiences again.Daehawk wrote: The times, the places, and the people are gone now. So I have my memories.

Cracked windshield means jackpot in MA -- literally. Glass insurance with no deductible is mandatory as a safety regulation, so glass companies used to pay a bonus if you would call them to come to your home or place of employment and let them replace your windscreen. The payout was typically $50 but could go to $100 when the companies had a bidding war.Isgrimnur wrote:I hit the insurance trifecta. Typical liberal wealth redistribution with a little vig for the house. So what is keeping them from making them give out free tires as well? You know for safety and all.Kraken wrote:Cracked windshield means jackpot in MA -- literally. The legislature figured out the scam and banned bounty payments. So now the glass companies enter you in a daily drawing to win $50. The number of prizes exceeds the number of entries on most days. If you have a cracked windshield, you're gonna win $50.
What in hell does the last one have to do with insurance !Isgrimnur wrote:I hit the insurance trifecta. I have a cracked windshield that I need to schedule for replacement. The roof on the house is totaled and will be replaced. And my wife just got rear-ended.
That isn't the meaning of "I'd tap that", ya goober!Unagi wrote:What in hell does the last one have to do with insurance !Isgrimnur wrote:I hit the insurance trifecta. edit: Ohhhh!! In her car!!
Lobbying clout, I imagine. The glass provision is decades old and safely enshrined. IDK how it got there in the first place.Rip wrote:Typical liberal wealth redistribution with a little vig for the house. So what is keeping them from making them give out free tires as well? Lol. On the other hand I wonder if the persistent smell is due to some nice carcinogen that just refuses to break down (gulp)KKBlue wrote:Ya know, I unpacked one of those large RubberMaid bins filled with stuff my mom saved from childhood... those ditto copies STILL smell the same!$iljanus wrote:Along with sniffing ditto paper.

Obviously the "ozone layer" is a myth perpetuated by the liberal elites.Smoove_B wrote:Well...how do you feel about the Ozone layer?
