One of the funniest people I’ve ever laughed along with. I honestly thought his last Netflix movie would just be a lame attempt to cash in on nostalgia, but it actually made me laugh quite a bit.

RIP to an amazing comedian.

And even his Netflix followup was fairly good as well. It was pretty amazing given how much time had passed since Big Top Pee-Wee.

This show still holds up.

I always forget that Lawrence Fishburne was in Pee-wee's Playhouse.

I had to watch Pee-wee’s Big Adventure last night. It holds up incredibly well and is still extremely funny with so many quotable moments. RIP Mr. Reubens.

I never saw any Pee Wee movies past his Big Adventure. That came out when I was 16 so it was perfect timing. The next one was in 88 when I was 19 and had already met the woman who Id marry and I was past the stuff I used to watch. It was like Im a kid. Im a teen. BAM adult moving on. So never saw the other two. Are they any good?

Big Top Pee-Wee, the second, could probably be safely skipped. But the 2016 one, Pee-Wee's Holiday which is on Neflix is actually pretty amazing. I don't think anybody expected that one to be any good, but I found it quite surprisingly enjoyable.

Kids were not born when Pee Wee was popular and I was in college so it was not something I would choose to watch. But I watched him later in life and quite enjoyed his antics. He will be missed.

First time I remember seeing Grace was Conan the Destroyer. Found her really weird lol. I was 15. Found Olivia d'Abo very beautiful. But damn did that movie ever have the WORST effects and acting and and..good lord they made Conan then made ...that. For shame Hollywood.

Do I sense a watch party?

I watched half of it for the first time the other night. Not sure how I feel about it. It's good natured and quaint enough. It's interesting that it was both Tim Burton's and Danny Elfman's feature film debut. Definitely a product of the 80s.

I was terrified by Pee-wee's Playhouse as a child. I've always been freaked out by some puppets and animatronics. The show was just so zany and weird. I don't think my mom wanted me watching it, either.

But the movie is a lot more innocent and restrained. At least the first half I watched. (I got more tired than bored.)

Somehow I missed the death of Glen Frey. I may have even commented on it in this thread but I sure as hell don't remember it now.

Sandra Bullock's longtime partner Bryan Randall has died. He was 57.

After a three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, Randall died Aug. 5.

"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request," Randall's family said in a statement to USA TODAY on Monday.
