Don't worry, I can't. I'm at work and don't have access to youtube. But I'm not going to complain about how OO has a Youtube video that I can't view at work. It's not OO's fault and I don't expect OO to change to match my personal opinions on how things should be.

KK, you're being quite rational, and that's cool. But as you've pointed out, we've already had this discussion. What's the point of rehashing it all over again? The truth of the matter is, as naednek pointed out originally, it's the content that people are concerned about. They are using the fact that it's not actually a youtube video as additional argument to remove content they don't like. They don't actually care that it's not a youtube video, given that there are vimeo and other video sites within the thread. It is somewhat noteworthy that the "video" plays when you enter the thread, not when you click the link, but that's not a rule or even an expectation on OO. Animated gifs are posted in all sorts of threads that aren't about animated gifs. It's hardly worth noting, let alone acting on.

I don't appreciate being insulted. Is it any wonder Daehawk gets pissed? Hepcat literally couldn't communicate with Daehawk without belittling and insulting him. Despite the fact that hepcat hasn't been around in awhile, Daehawk is still feeling the sting, given that it was constant and ongoing for years.

I think everyone that works from the technical point of view has been in this meeting. Which is quite sad. In all fairness I'd rather be in those meetings where possibly I could influence the decisions rather than dealing with the project after the fact...like trying to tell a customer that the 1000 nic cards that the sales guy just sold him for his 1000 laptops wouldn't work as there wasn't a slot of them (even though it was all our products so the sales guy couldn't plead ignorance on the laptop specs)

Ha! I've been in on this meeting as well, but from the sales side, with the insane questions coming from the prospect/client, asking for the impossible.

OTOH, technical people are not generally known for their creativity, so there is something to be said for the people represented as morons in the skit, trying to work out a solution to a seemingly impossible design goal. Many things were considered impossible...until they were accomplished.

I'm sorry I got that cleared up now.

I'm STILL watching Pat Benatar videos..new and old. I cant believe how much of her music I missed over the years either thinking she quit or that I just missed in the old days because i only saw the MTV stuff. She was powerful then and still is today 35 years later.
