Radio said Campbell said "he'll try to be back for the Superbowl" and was serious. I don't see it but I do see him being a fighter. 16 weeks for a break to heal plus rehab says to me serious or not, it's 2025 and hope he's well, generally speaking.LawBeefaroni wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 6:49 pm He's done for the season for sure. Re: NFL 2024 Regular Season
Tom Brady officially a part owner of the Raiders after NFL owners approve it
Brady's group, which includes Knighthead Capital co-founder Tom Wagner, agreed to buy about a 10 percent stake in the Raiders in May of 2023. It was held up initially because the NFL's finance committee said Brady was being sold his share at a price that was much lower than the actual valuation of the franchise. The purchase price was adjusted in February, clearing the way for the sale to go through.
...
The complication to Brady being an owner is his work with Fox as a broadcaster, which started this season. He reportedly isn't allowed to sit in on production meetings or attend practices in preparation for his broadcasts.

Re: NFL 2024 Regular Season
And the Browns have thrown in the towel already. Traded our WR, who is having a bad year, but he has had good years here. I think it is our QB that is the issue, but the ownership made a horrible trade, and will not let the couch sit him. Of course it is not like we have a decent QB sitting on the benh anyway.... Sigh.. I had at least hoped for okay football this year, but instead I get my Sundays back and can ignore the football team.

The Bears are tied for last in the NFC North. Minnesota is 5-0, Detroit is 4-1, and Green Bay and the Bears are tied for 3rd/last at 4-2.

Tie breaking procedures
The Packers are 0-1 in the division and the Bears are 0-0, so I would have thought that would put the Bears a half game ahead of the packers. But nfl.com also has the Packers ranked higher so I must be wrong. Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.

Nice win by the Lions. But I call BS on the final play. The Vikings were rewarded with one more play when they were called for illegal formation when they tried to spike the ball with 1 second left. Whatever happened to the 10 second runoff for offensive penalties? By that logic any player on the field could run up and hike the ball to themselves and spike it. Illegal formation! 5 yard penalty but they keep the ball and stop the clock.

I don't know the rules well enough to call shenanigans but it seems odd to me that you should be rewarded for committing a penalty. Tactics are tactics, though. If them's the rules, that's how you play. It was a hard watch coming in at up 21 10 in the 3rd and then just watching feel like it was instantly slipping away the moment I turned on the TV. Cardiac cats... (Or maybe I'm not made for watching sports)
I'll be tuning in to Grossi this week to see how he interprets refs call allowing a final chance for the Vikings to take the game back.

Browns QB Watson suffers likely season-ending Achilles injury. Teammates upset some fans cheered
The embattled quarterback was carted off the field Sunday with a right Achilles tendon injury he suffered on a noncontact play against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Following Cleveland’s 21-14 loss, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said it “looks like” Watson’s injury is serious and will end his season. The team was still awaiting test results, but all indications are that Watson won’t play again in 2024.
Watson, who has not lived up to expectations in his two-plus seasons with Cleveland, went down without being touched on a second-down play with 1:26 left in the first half. He dropped back to pass at the Cincinnati 21-yard line. When he planted, his right leg buckled and he dropped to the ground.

Yeah, I feel bad, as some people are wondering if he will ever be the player that he was. Hate to see someone's career end because of an injury. But the entire team is mismanaged, hell our number 2 QB was actually not brought to play, they brought our QB 3 to play back-up for no real reason, supposedly the GM told the couch to scrarch QB 2 for QB 3 on Friday, and they did not make the change and tell anyone until Saturday. Re: NFL 2024 Regular Season
Rodgers was back in one.
Watson had discussed undergoing the “speed bridge” procedure that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had, a league source told cleveland.com, but that no long appears to be an option. Rodgers’ surgery was performed by Watson’s shoulder surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Job Institute in Los Angeles.
ElAttrache got Rodgers back on the practice field within a remarkable 77 days, about four months quicker than with the conventional Achilles repair.

Re: NFL 2024 Regular Season
Watson sucks, so no one is going to care if he doesn't come back. Heck the insurance is most likely better for ownership if he stays unable to play for 2025/2026.Isgrimnur wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 8:27 pm Rodgers was back in one.

Sheesh, this is one small box. Thankfully, everything's packed in nicely this time. Not too tight nor too loose (someone's sig in 3, 2, ...). - Hepcat

He said it was Saleh’s fault.
Just kidding, he blamed the media.
